I can't ****ing believe that fat little **** has had his rescinded. Load of ****ing bollocks. That would suggest that Remy's was upheld because they deemed it a 'headbutt', when he did not such thing. They knocked heads together and no one moved their head into the other. They're both as guilty as each other and therefore they should either have both been upheld or both dismissed.

The FA can **** right off.

Of course it was successful. The Norwich lad done nowt wrong...It really should have been an extra game ban for your player due to the frivolous nature of the appeal..That's what happened to us when we done that..

It's all tied to the referee's report and a strict interpretation of the rules, though.

If you watch the replay, Remy moves his head towards Johnson's and they touch, which is deemed a "headbutt". Admittedly, you're right, it's not a headbutt as we know it, but unfortunately Remy has foolishly moved his head and forced the call, for which he only has himself to blame.

Johnson, on the other hand, according to the ref's report was sent off for a "push". The problem with this reasoning is that you don't get red carded for a push in the rule book - it's a yellow at best. Also, if you look, it's Remy that pushed him first. This is why Johnson's appeal was upheld, because as per the rules he shouldn't have been sent off.

So I think the FA got it right here - what I think you can justifiably complain about is that the rules need changing.

Also, Foy had a shocker in the match. So many calls wrong for both sides. If you ask me, the most justified result would have been that Johnson should have received a red card in the form of two yellows - one for the foul on Remy in the corner that preluded the pathetic scrap (for consistent fouling, which he did), and one for the pushing in the melee. If the referee had said that was the reason he sent him off in his report, I think Johnson's appeal might have been dismissed. So the report is key.

As for Johnson's jerk away from Remy - that was embarrassing for all concerned and I hope he's deeply ashamed of it, but it is not a yellow card. And if you start yellow carding for that, you definitely have to give more yellow cards for diving.

The real joke of the matter is that Johnson was our worst player on the pitch Tuesday evening and many of us were hoping he wouldn't play next match. We also desperately need you to beat Sunderland, which Johnson has succeeded in making harder and it gained us nothing because we weren't able to beat you on Tuesday. There are no winners from this sorry scenario.

Johnson started this by leaving his foot in and initiating the shoving match. And he's walking in to the butting of heads as well, only he seems too cowardly to actually lean in and is lucky in that he's standing straight. And we know of his cowardice because of his play-acting thereafter.

He knew he didn't have the footballing talent to contain Remy so he just resorted to cheap tricks and getting him sent off. A true disgrace of a 'footballer'.

Its disappointing that the ban stands for Remy, but I'm not surprised. The FA will always back the referee unless evidence can be brought to bear showing that the decision was wrong. A case of guilty until proven innocent.

Likewise, again not surprised that Johnson got off with it.
He showed himself to be an embarrassment to Manhood and to be a big Pussy, but he cant really be banned for that.

This is particularly unfortunate since I have nothing against Norwich and I suspect most Newcastle fans want to see them do (reasonably) well due to Chris being at the helm. But acts like this threaten to create bad blood between the two sets of fans where there is none.

I'll put it down to Johnson's time at Leeds.

It shouldn't. I think we Norwich fans are generally entirely embarrassed by Johnson's performance (as a footballer, as well as his acting) here. I do think the FA have made the right call according to the rules.

As I said above though, we have also potentially lost out - if Johnson hadn't have done that, he wouldn't have got sent off whereas Remy would and then we might have been able to nick and (admittedly undeserved) win. As a result, we couldn't because Johnson massively overreacted and now we've made it harder for you to beat Sunderland!

    Lose lose.

IMHO neither player should have been sent off..the FA is a load of bollocks..so are refs and the rules they follow.

It's already in place. When the system was overhauled they put a system in place where all appeals are heard before the next game. Been that way a couple of years now I think.

Headbutt my arse, they hardly even touched faces. It was the merest of touches, almost like just getting close enough to kiss each other.

Pointless crying on about it now.
Appeal failed, get over it and move on.
Got to get behind the players who will be on the pitch on Saturday and not worry about those who wont be there.
