I Dunno, there is plenty of ****e players for him to sell at OT. Luke Shaw for a start. Was a bat **** signing from day one. £30m for an 18 year old who had had one season of professional football. (albeit a decent one).
Too much too soon for Shaw and also very unlucky with injuries. Not helped by being Mourinho's choice scapegoat. Had he stayed at Southampton an extra year or two he'd be a far better player now IMO. He's still young enough to come good again. Would like to see what he'd be like with Pochettino's coaching.
Jose had publicly derided the transfer when he was managing us, saying Man United were insane to do such a thing. Shaw must have shat himself when Jose got the job at United. He has been very unlucky with injuries though. I bet he ends up at West Ham.
Anyway, I don't see how Mourinho has scapegoated him. For what? For failing to get properly fit and motivated? For not being good enough? I heard on TalkShite that Durham prick papping on about how United had ruined Shaw. He's blown it himself, United don't have to pick a player who just isn't doing it. Why should any manager? The person to blame is Luke Shaw for ****ing up his chance. We need a left back, the fact he can't get in the side is down to him alone.
Didn't Van Gaal say pretty much the same thing? That Shaw was fat and didn't put any effort into his training, basically.... Needs the right coach I think, otherwise he will just be forever remembered as wasted potential.
