I agree, I think they have it about right now for the EFL, it would be better if more PL games were 3pm Saturday and less TV coverage, but that won’t change due to TV money.EFL could scrap 3pm TV blackout as clubs urge league to let them stream games (inews.co.uk)
Another possible change. Personally I feel football should be protected as the live spectacle it is. The pandemic should remind people that football is a live spectacle with a crowd, dilute the crowd the experience is damaged.

Whilst I agree that football without the crowd would be a bad thing I’m not sure that televising the games would necessarily ‘kill off’ the interest in going to the stadium to watch a game.
If we take live music for example; you can watch and listen to music whenever you want - and Glastonbury is streamed live on TV yet people still pay to go there. Live music is always popular in local pubs too.
Horse racing is another example - all the main races are televised but the racecourses are always packed.
If TV subscription fees were raised slightly but offered for the 3pm games the revenue could be used to subsidise the tickets for the stadium.
I think it could be a positive change - if done properly.
