we won the FA Cup what i am trying to say is that it will be a massive gamble to replace Wenger now, lets plan ahead for a new manager to replace him, and some of the names that have been mentioned {Martines, Pullis, Fat Sam] would be suicidal
Yes, we did something, after ten years..... Oh and who the **** is mentioning those names? I do not see anyone on here bringing up those names. A list was drawn up on this thread and none of those name feature.
Oh and Martinez is still a very good young manager. Struggling this season, but I think he and Everton have found it hard to balance the Europa league with the PL. Also clearly needs some younger legs in that defence. But I think this season will make him a better manager in the long term, because it's been a steep learning curve for a young manager like him.
Agree on DeBoer, the Dutch league is a huge step down from the Premier League, but I would love to see Bergkamp at Arsenal again and they might come as a pair. Gus Hiddink and Klopp would be good managers, but the best would be Guardiola. In reality though, is he going to leave Munich ? Certainly not this summer he isn't anyway. And this is why we need to be patient to get the right man. Your last sentence is the most pertinent one yet: 'It's certainly not going to be as easy to improve on Wenger as some on here are making out'
I fully support Wenger's latest comment that if you smoke on club duty you spend the rest of the season with the youth team (http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/clubs/arsenal/article4317993.ece) So to be consistent Arsene... please step aside and go manage the youths:
There's an interesting cultural background to smoking. In many other parts of Europe it's still common and not frowned upon like it is in the UK. The clip of Wenger smoking all those years ago is perfectly normal. In France, it was almost bucking the trend not to smoke. Many of our double winning team French players smoked (and the English drank). If you go to Poland (I have family there) then as soon as you step outside of the airport, you notice how many people are smoking. I'd imagine Sczcesny has smoked since he was a teenager. I'm not condoning it though, he's a professional footballer and it's not acceptable to be playing for Arsenal and smoking.
Surely you should give Wenger a chance when FFP comes in fully. You are the self-styled best run club in England and Chelsea will struggle when FFP comes in
He's a wum. Chelsea and City won't really be affected by FFP now anyway as their clubs were artificially pumped full of financial steroids before the rules came in. If the rules were applied before Roman arrived, Chelsea would still be a two bit yo-yo club like Millwall.
If Roman hadn't come in Chelsea would have gone into administration <press reports at the time say they were two weeks away from administration> and would probably have done a Leeds I wonder if London's only would now be a red or a blue Manc
