A comfortable win by more than a single goal will do nicely. Should be a good game and I expect it will be nearly a 'full house'.
Don't think there are many tickets left Hope you all have a great day tomorrow ... for anyone coming early (& not driving) Charters, the barge on the river, is popular with home & away fans .... sells real ale
Complete chaos at Norwich station, I hear from twittering Canaries. 9.57 to P'boro only two coaches...and we sold HOW MANY TICKETS!!?? Surely Greater Anglia would do some research before laying on (half) an extra train Crammed onto train like rush hour in Tokyo, but many left behind on Norwich station wondering WTF happens next
Oh dear Hope there's no trouble at Peterborough station as the 1p5wich fans will be changing there on their way to Vile Park today
Christ almighty you'd think they'd lay extra trains on, I mean it's not like these people are just turning up with no ticket, nearly if not everyone will have bought a ticket well in advance. Here's a tip train operators if you sell a ****load of tickets make sure there's the capacity for the sales you muppets
I would imagine there will be a biggish police presence, in a way i'm suprised they didn't change one of the games to the Sunday.
That is the extra train - but not much use to man nor beast when it's only 2 carriages long. Yet every Intercity to London is 10 coaches - when 4/5 would suffice, off-peak
I read they were putting one on similar to the London trains School boy error if not Edit it's the 11.20 that's the special 'dry' train. not that I'm going Clearly a huge demand to get there earlier though to soak up the atmosphere
Greater Anglia is appalling. I believe shortly before the Olympics they decided to remove the extra carriages that were initially put in to cope with the number of people going to the Olympics! Had a train journey to Cambridge before where anybody going to Cambridge was told to go on the train to Stowmarket and change there to go to Cambridge. We were then told to go back to the train that went directly to Cambridge. That then became overly full and we were told to get back on the train to Stowmarket! I could go on about what a mess Greater Anglia is but there are too many to list! Including a 4 hour bus journey to Cambridge which took two and a half hours to get to Ely. The bus driver got lost in Brandon so we were late for a train from Ely to Cambridge which added an hour and a half. We were told the whole journey from Norwich to Cambridge would take 2 hours. But if you take away the hour waiting for a train in Ely it was still 3 hours!
I've heard anglia are poor To be fair wonky they are all pretty ropey, the ones near me are too The system is too complicated and mostly in foreign hands now
We used to get the train to Wymondham then drive back to Dereham, or we did twice. The train leaving Norwich on both times was packed solid both times. They must know that Saturday afternoon football match will have far more passengers than the normal Saturday yet they never put on extra coaches. As I said, we did in twice then voted with our feet and never used the train again. We had hoped it was a solution to the horrific congestion in the city after games but alas we never did find a good way of getting away from the city.
Took the words right out of my fingers chap - at least they used to apologise for everything No chance under this scumbag capitalist government though
I've had more reliability from an overnight train that took me from Nairobi to Mombasa in Kenya! That had delays on a regular basis but only because of crates falling off. At least they tried to fix the problem straight away. My mate even managed to see a cheetah by the track during of the of the delays. Also the train journey only cost approximately £25!
The Cambridge line before/after matches at Carrow Road has been a mess for years. The last train before the game and the first one after are always full of people standing in the aisles, so a ticket collector can't get through. They'd actually be able to get people to pay for tickets if they put another carriage on, but it's been like that for at least 5 years, probably a lot longer.
