But you won the cup. Not a big failure RDM screwed up the CL and Rafa won you the second prize. Not a big failure was it?

Won the Cup we least wanted out of 4, when RDM had us in the semis for Carling and Club World.

Our league form was atrocious, if it had not been for RDM's good start to the season at the beginning, and player power at the end, we would not have got a CL spot.

The players ran the side from March when they knew Rafa was gone and Jose was coming in.

The league period when he tried to take charge our results were dreadful.

When you say things like this I just have to wonder what you actually know about football at all, or how much you let your dislike of rafa cause you to cast off reason.

Player power? Where was player power when you looked like going out of the CL? Your only decent performance in the CL was the one Rafa was in charge of ffs.

You make me laugh. Players put in pure ****e performances in the CL, player power saved you? Player power got you into that mess in the first place. Your reasoning is all over the shop maybe cos you want to try justify hating Benitez so much?

Any manager that can come in to the PL in November, take over someone else's squad at a club that's had player apathy problems with managers they dont like and 7 managers in 4 years before you arrived, and finish 3rd and win silverwear is a decent coach. You're a mad **** EC , you sure hate Rafa, but fair is fair like<laugh>

RDM could well have taken you out of the CL spots with no silverwear, you'll never know cos he got sacked. Schalke hasn't gone well for him has it

Its just odd, that arguably the biggest club on the planet, who have been managed by some of the worlds greats, would appoint a mediocre manager.
He isn't terrible, he isn't great, he is middle of the road.
And certainly not the person I would be bringing in to end Barca's dominance....crazy stuff.

Problem is, they go through managers so quickly that they eventually run out of the top ones to appoint. Madrid are morons and that's why they've only one 1 title in 7 despite the ridiculous money spent.

Could be just paper gossip, but what exactly is the thinking behind their alleged 45 million pursuit of Sterling? They can't integrate all the players they have as it is; how the hell would Sterling get anywhere near that 11?

Ancelotti has been sacked for essentially failing to win the league and now they appointed a guy whose essentially a cup manager. Weird.

With all due respect to Carlo - I wasn't surprised he was let go!!
Rafa is not a major stepdown for Real. He is almost comparable to Carlo.

Carlo's league titles were very dubious.

    Milan:
His title with Milan won in 18th team league with Silvio's coffers.

    Chelsea:
His title was won with an incredible team.
Season earlier, even Avram took that team to CL runner up & PL runner up (last day Toffees draw or would've been first time GD title for Manures).
Moreover one man team Manures where without Cristiano for the first season!!

    PSG:
Larry has won a treble with that team says a lot about Carlo's accomplishment.

Carlo's decima was very lucky, we had less luck in our 2012 CL victory!!

So Rafa's CV is not too bad compared to Carlo's in terms of league titles!!
Both are cup managers at best. Just that Carlo is a nice likeable guy.

When was the last time Rafa won a league title? 13-14 years ago?

They are not comparable managers based on the last 7-8 years. Carlo having won 2 champions leagues in that time and league titles in what 3 countries?

I have given reasoning for those.
2 Champions league (beating rafa's pool) & luckiest decima.
League titles in 3 countries don't hold water given the circumstances.

My opinion is - we don't have to react as if Rafa is replacing some one like Jose or even Pep!!
