What makes you say that?

Heterosexual couples to be nonces together is far from unusual I believe.
If I am being honest, nothing solid just a feeling. I just think a child would go to the other person in the relationship if they were markedly different (Mum.......Dad). If they were both abusers then there would be no difference.

As for the second part, I am well aware of that which is why I said no slight intended on the gay community.
Like I said, it was a once only post to gauge opinion and throw a different thought into the thread.

Fair enough, it's impossible to say really but I'm not sure I buy that it would be harder to go to the other parent.

If anything, they might make them realise that it's not natural behaviour?

It is? I was just musing out loud... wasn't even sure if it made sense in what I was thinking <laugh>
It made great sense really, if you have two people the same (daddy, daddy/mummy,mummy) and one was doing something you didn't like and the other wasn't then you would know (as a child) one was wrong, if you had two different people (mummy/daddy) then you could as a child just think that is what mummy's/daddy's do and keep quiet to the other.

Yeah that was my (rather twisted but sort of logical) thought process with it. Like I say it was just musing out loud really, and I'm not saying I definitely believe that to be the case but if I had to pick one way for it go then it would be that imo.

There's probably no difference whatsoever though.
