Guess not, it just bothers me that all of this has happened and it seems like for some people it's not even a problem.
Good post. When I first came on here I dismissed OLM as just another "insider", turns out I was probably wrong. Saying that, he's obviously biased towards AP, and as AP is a lying egotistical pen thief I very rarely agree with him. I sometimes here OLM's info from other people off this board and it comes with a very different slant.
If you don't want to believe what people post then don't, it's as simple as that. I've been reading OLM's posts for literally years now and 9/10 times he's right and so far nobody can question PT's knowledge. One thing I don't believe is the drivel Assem told the HDM in today's paper, but that's for another thread.
A very patronising view mate. I see what your'e getting at,but those of us on here who trust in OLM & PT'S information,also have the sense to take it with a pinch of salt. All i can say is this. I have no inside info at all.I don't know anyone inside. But through using this board ihave been able to pass on info to mates at work that make them think im on the the inside when it all comes true(which it usualy does) 80% id say.
My apologies to OLM and PT. This thread was created 'tongue-in-cheek'. It was never meant to be an ongoing slaughter of them at all. The power of a pointless headline eh? Perhaps I should be on the subs desk at a local newspaper somewhere? For the record, there is little doubt that OLM & PT usually have at least 80% of the story from their sources, but then again so does 'Scoops' Burns BA (Hons)? Keep it up fellas, if indeed your sources are still there at the start of the season?
Wasn't suppose to be patronising at all. I too look to these boards and OLM etc for information and trust that information enough to pass it on. Like many people say they sure do have more knowledge on the teams inner working. But this isnt about trusting OLM or PT, really it isn't. Its about me taking the information OLM etc has given, taking the information the club and the media are giving and giving my own opinion, maybe seeing things from a different point of view. Whos to say that its wrong if no-one knows the absolute truth. But there are some on here that get abusive for simply having a slightly different opinion, even if that opinion doesn't necessarily go against what OLM etc have said.
As I keep saying, I can't believe people are looking at that statement and believing every word of it without question. Just because they have now said players won't be leaving doesn't mean it is fact. My question remains the same: why are we choosing not to trust all of these reliable and sensible sources who all say the same thing, yet we're almost obliged to trust the mysterious owners who have good intentions but don't seem to know what their plan is from one day to the next. Agree with that word for word. Exactly the same, I can make people think I have inside info by recycling stuff posted on here by OLM and PT, which in a way we all do on this board. If your opinion of what has happened is that Barmby did have money in January, or that players won't be leaving or that what has gone on in the last few days isn't a total disaster on the Allams' behalf, then it is 100% against what OLM has said.
For what it's worth I trust the Allams and will do until they show there not to be trusted which I haven't seen once so far
