Untue, I am tolerant of anybody who lives for the man who died for us.

Quite a statement. I'm not one for causing argument, but I disagree. I'll leave it at that.

As long as you can distinguish between what is religion and what is ideology.

Can anyone? I can't! Every religion no matter how mainstream or obscure, fundamentalist or liberal has its own ideological system. Take yourself, a practicing Christian, are your decisions not dictated by the moralistic boundaries set in your religious scriptures? Would you not support the ideals of someone who lives their life by a code of conduct written by religious scholars hundreds if not thousands of years ago?

Look lads, I'm not religious. In fact I'm a firm atheist. But if Top Chihauaua is then he shouldn't be criticised for it. I know a great many devout Christians, some very shakey Christians, lots of atheists, and quite a few Muslims, one of who's father is an imam. They are all great people, and I'm yet to meet a religious person, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu or whatever, who wasn't a 'better' person than you're average atheist. Every Muslim I know believes those who harm other claiming it as jihad will not reach paradise, and will instead be punished for murder. I've also never met a Christian who believes that Muslims are bad.

And for whoever it was who said about Allah not allowing Jesus back on Earth, Muslim belief is that Jesus is one of the greatest prophets.

What I don't get is why non-religious people have to be so arrogant? If you, like myself, don't believe in God, then fine. If you do, then fine. Don't argue about it, don't call each other bigoted, don't insult each others beliefs, don't claim things you don't actually know, don't try to claim you are right and they are wrong. That's why they call it a BELIEF. Its what you think is right, and it should not be used against you by anyone else.

Technically, some of the posts here are against the Religious Hatred Act, and if reported to the police, could result in court and prison. That's how serious things like this are. So just shut the **** up, and get along. Accept others' beliefs as equal to your own, because at the end of the day, we simply don't know. If there turns out to be a God, then we'll all look stupid. If there isn't, then TC will end up the same as us, and will have lost nothing. So lay off him and any other religious people. It's your choice to not believe in God, and its theirs to believe in God. Accept it just as you would accept anything else someone chooses, like the colour they paint their front room or their favourite film. It really doesn't matter.

Settle down chap I don't think anyone has been criticised for being religious. Not from what I can see anyway. As for religious hatred act etc, you're really stretching it there. Indeed most on the thread just seem to be saying they are not bothered what religious beliefs players or fans have. Live and let live seems to be the theme of the thread.
