Every time I see one of these scrote incidents and if its been caught on my Dash Cam, its reported. Don't think the police are doing nothing about it, they are. The last one was down at St Peters Metro just over 10 days ago, as you say Quad bike and a scrambler. Funnily, on this occasion, both riders faces fully visible but your right, they will cause serious harm of worse, kill someone.

The difference now is that very young kids carry knives, take hard drugs and don't think twice about turning on anyone pulling them up ...

... we may not have been perfect but I don't remember any shootings of adults being kicked to death by gangs of little scatters.

If I witnessed one of these ****bags come a cropper I wouldn’t even pull over to kick his brains to the side of the road. One less piece of ****e in the world that’s how I look at it. Pissed off with the crap they peddle on the news about these toss pots ending up dead by driving/riding like ****ers. It’s the other party I feel for having to deal with the aftermath when one hits their car/house/garden wall etc.

Thanks for this, I'd never heard of parenting orders, about time these were publicised more. I always blame the parents for their feral scraters actions.

The whole area from Thompson’s park to Hylton Castle and everywhere in between is being completely forgotten by the council and ignored by the police.

My mam and dad still live in Witherwack, constant scramblers bombing around the streets and you never see a police car let alone police on the beat. Call the police and the usual answer is there is nothing they can do about it.

Not contradicting you in any way, but , ironically, your post reminded me that when I joined The Cubs, in about 1953, part of the required uniform was a Sheath Knife. I still have mine, out of nostalgia.
Throughout my time in Cubs and Scouts though, the only times I can recall using it was to cut string or on small rope when splicing.

I PRESUME that knives are no longer a part of the uniform.

Another 'blast from the past' was recalling a camping trip with friends to Keswick when I was 16.
There was a dance on at a village hall and off we all trooped.
At the door a polite lady asked us all to leave our weapons on the pile on the table, and pick them up again when we left.
The pile consisted of dozens of Sheath Knives and a few small hand axe's.
Nobody turned a hair at any of this, then.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Yeah, we had sheath knives when we were young, at cubs but not sure they were mandatory, but bloody hell, who on earth carried an axe... wonder where they are now?

I imagine that a small hand axe would come in very handy if you were doing 'proper camping' and cooking on an open fire.

No doubt a Fire Extinguisher might also be useful!!!:emoticon-0143-smirk

Do gooders shouldn't come into it.

The Government are there to govern.

When i was on the doors at Rock City I was always upstairs so I could see the bands. But they didn't come on until about 10pm so I'd do a couple of hours on the front door with the big lads getting everyone in, booting tickets touts upb the arse, etc.

I'd scan the queue and pull anyone I thought might be 'carrying'. I still have a few souvenirs from those days ... knuckle dusters, flick knives, coshes, etc.

But in eleven years we only had one stabbing.

That reminds me of a favourite story of mine which I'll keep as short as possible.

It was Luton away in the 70/80's and we won 4-0 iirc. There'd been trouble before the game and, sure enough, more trouble after right outside the ground. We were walking away from the ground, towards the High Street, and Robin Connolly, from Shotton, was walking back up.

He explained that he'd been jumped by half a dozen Luton and had been to the local hardware shop to buy a hatchet so he could get his revenge.

    "Need any helpb Robin?"

    "Nah, I'll be fine." <laugh>
