Obviously but then, that's taking my comment out of context too

Yeah but the thing with tap ins is that it takes a knack to be in the right place at the right time

Easy enough to say anybody could score them but the number of high scoring wingers is pretty low.

Don't dispute that. Just think he needs to do more with the other chances

Agree with that, I feel he's still a rough diamond at this point. He has some obvious flaws in his game but he also has some superb parts to his game and the fact he keeps getting into these good goal scoring positions is a massive positive.

He's been better than I expected so far so got to be got with that. Needs to be a little less predictable and more clinical

No idea wtf you're on about to be honest.

Should we drop them for others in the side? Obviously ****ing not!

Should we replace then come January or summer? No, we need better midfielders, keeper and a CB.

Are they the best in the league? No

Would they get in any other PL team? Possibly Mane, don't think the others would including Coutinho.

I dunno how it became overjoyed not over rated <laugh><laugh>

I'm just saying irrespective of other teams players they are clearly absolutely vital to us.

As for the rest.. well... you'll be eating those words when coutinho is brilliant at Barca.

He would be brilliant at Barca just as he's brilliant for us. But like for us, it will be in short spells with the odd 20mins here and there in some of the games, not all.

Of course, he'd have even better players in front of him so better options. Plus his team would see more possession meaning he wouldn't need to run as much to regain possession and therefore wouldn't be ****ed after 50-60mins

We go through this period of 'dissatisfaction' every season at differing times.
We've got it at the beginning this season and just hope it clears up and we have a good run before the next one.

I personally miss a player that plays as an irritant (like Lucas). Gets their foot in, straight forward passes, strong, takes one for the team. Emre Can is not that player.

Salah is an interesting player - there is slight criticism of the player from a few fans for missing chances (understandable but let’s look at the stats which may shock some people):

4 goals in PL and CL
    1 assist
    430 mins

    That’s a contribution every 86 mins.

    Now this will surprise everyone:

Shot conversion this season - 21.5%

    Put into context -

    Kane 7%
    Messi 18%
    Cavani 29%
    Lukaku 20%
    Bobby 20%
    Mané 29%

In summary, the guy is already performing at elite levels. If he’s to do any better, he’ll be the best player in the world.

Or he has been served up tap ins by his team mates?

The eyes don't lie either jimmy. He missed a shedload of easy chances.

Not disputing he’s missed chances - but the point is he’s not missing any more chances than top world class strikers does.

But my gripe is that I just feel that there is a heavy focus on his missed chances than his actual contribution.

Those stats don't really show that. No stats can compare difficulty of chances with a single headline figure.

His actual contribution and positioning are good. He just needs to improve.

Like... Not comparing him to but.... first season Suarez missed a lot.
