Big difference for me is Man u have earned the right to spend more than other clubs by being succesful. Man city were **** until some rich owner came in and started spending. It is undeserved. Yes man u haven\t always been winning but they certainly have for the last 20 years.
Also the problem is these arabs treating it like a football manager game. They are splashing for leisure. There's no common sense. Man u have spent often out of necessity or wisely by buying cheap or young and improving the players and making a profit. Man city are inflating the prices by buying players at their peak, for top prices on top wages only to sell them at a loss and are ruining the game.

I would like to point out Man City still are ****.

A new company called Abu Dhabi United isnt half bad but they are far from a club. Just some rich Arabs plaything. In essence they are an Arabs 2" wrinkly cock or wife.

Well that's my point, city fans won't care and will try and claim that united have done the same but not remotely close imo... if you look at the spendings and net profit differences you will see that manchester united have not spent irrationally like man city have for the last 5 years. Of course it's their money to spend but I wouldn't mind man city fans if they didn't try and justify things. they bought the title end of story.

Even City fans know this. They might not care now but in the future who knows. While I dont like them much at all they were once a very well supported club who would come under the 'proper' club umbrella. These days though they are anything but.

A favourite trait of City fans not so long back was to rub in how many locals lined up for them over us, well no more. Nobody from Manchester plays for City or has a realistic chance of playing for them. United do, and will continue to bring them through. Even the ones who dont make it are still at other PL clubs.

United are a proper club, we may be rich and successful but at the roots we are a real club who focus on youth and the future. For this reason we have remained successful and the club everyone wants to know about.

Are you not a rich American's plaything? Are we not a rich Indian/Malaysian's plaything? They're a big deal now and you don't like it.

    Billy Bob

the original O.T. was supposed to hold over 100,000 the plans and the actual build were then revised with the capacity greatly reduced, there were many grounds with equal capacity. United's honours leading up to the second world war were pretty average, they didn't exactlty outshine the competition and with such a a "gift" as OT eh? OT was all but reduced to rubble by German bombers in WW2, United then having to go cap in hand to the noisy neighbours at Maine Rd in order to play their home matches - yep what a wonderful gift OT was! United were on their arse and just about managed to get the money for kits - hence the term "Rags" of which City fans refer to United Fans. It was at this time that the highest league match attenadnce was recorded (can't remember the numbers and can't be arsed looking) it was at Maine RD. but didn't involve City it was a "home" match for United - so much for your OT theory again Bobby. The rest is history of which United made for themselves through monies generated through the team and not from an outsider's injection of £££££££'s. Hand on heart would the "old" Blackburn, Chelsea, and City of won the PL if they hadn't been subject to the financial gift they recieved?
