There is only 1 real winner here. The lad has come out and publicly stated he wants to come to us, Spurs want to loan him out, We have put an enquiry in for him, so it makes logical sense for him to come here.

If he does go to Leicester, it will be because there is an agreement of some sorts that they will pay more of a % towards his wages than we will, and that is it.

Exactly what I was thinking as something along those lines.

The other point to remember is that Leicester have signed 8 new players during the Summer and havn't finished yet. Subs have been reduced from 7 to 5 so, with the size of their squad, there is no guarantee that Townsend would even get into the 16 man squad for each game. Harry might not be happy about that as he wants to loan out Townsend to gain experience. If he comes to Millwall he is certain to have a place in our 16 man squad, even if not the starting 11 for some games.
