i think as long as he recites his commandments all will be well again! the ten commandments! You shall have no other Grant's but Holt. You shall not make for yourself golden idols. (sensible wages, no glory boys!) You shall not misuse the name of the Lambert your God. You shall remember and keep the Match day holy. Respect your father and mother. (Delia and Michael be their name) You must not kill (but an elbow to the face is often appropriate if done sneakily) You must not commit adultery. (good clean family club! im looking at YOU terry! AND giggsy!) You must not steal. (unless its from colchester!) You must not give false hope to your neighbour. (it'd only make it worse when they lose again.) You must not be envious of your neighbour's goods. (with a team like his whats to be jealous of?)
Personally Swansea remind me of that annoying bit of dog **** that you can't shake off your shoe. As soon as we put 'daylight' between us and them in the PL table, they pull off yet another result !
I've got no beef with the swans, usually their fans on here have been good with the banter. It's looking pretty good for our two teams now for sure. Only gripe is they sold us Otj if Cardiff can gain promotion it would be good go see the south Wales derby in the top tier for sure
Rodgers has done a great job by any normal standards. However, I think the key difference is that Rodgers had something to build on based on Martinez starting to create a good footballing side. Lambert, by contrast, took over when we were at rock bottom. Rodgers=good, lambert=god
5 wishes for this season: 1) We finish above both QPR and Swansea (best of the promoted sides bragging rights) 2) 1p5wich get relegated 3) Southampton fail in their promotion (thereby keeping the uniqueness of Norwich's successive promotions) 4) Cardiff fail in their promotion (who would want these hooligans in the PL) 5) We keep Paul Lambert for the next 2 seasons minimum (This I would trade for all of the above)
Please note I did say "almost better" and I shall recant at the next home game: "Football is my religion and carrow road is my church"
when swansea play like they did yesterday, with a positive outlook and play their football high up the pitch, they are a joy to watch. it makes you wonder why they play most of their games playing so deep. it seems to me that 9 times out of ten they are more concerned with winning the possession stats than they are sticking the ball in the net! however, they're a very good side and i don't have a problem with them doing so well. i did get rather annoyed by the commentary yesterday which managed to compare swansea to barcelona in the same game that they compared norwich to blackpool just because swansea pass the ball well does not equate to them being barca-like or more appropriately, barca-lite! they play the game nowhere near as effectively as a barcelona and i think its embarrassing that any so-called experts make such a silly comparison. nobody plays the game like barca, nobody. they are completely unique. i would also agree with comments saying rodgers had a solid base on which to build whereas lambert had a 1-7 home defeat and a team in disarray following relegation to build on! rodgers is a talented coach but lambert is streets ahead when it comes to achievements so far.
Not unique Goldeneye. Manchester City did it under Joe Royle: " After 11 months out of the game, he accepted the challenge to manage Manchester City in February 1998. When Royle arrived the club was deep in the relegation zone and even though he could not save the club from relegation to Division Two, the next season they were promoted through the play-offs and a year later were promoted to the Premiership."
As a swansea supporter I'm always watching out to see norwich and qpr's results.. and though both newly promoted teams I've got a soft spot for your team as I want you guys to stay up, and for Qpr to fail! Don't understand why some of you guys feel hostile towards swansea, both came up together, both taking the premier league by storm <PleaseDontJinxIt> and I'm sure many other swansea supporters also feel like I do towards norwich. As for Swansea/barcelona comparison whilst norwich compared to blackpool.. I love the thought of how pissed off your supporters were hearing that Here's hoping we both finish in the top half of the league
I think most City fans have little or no problem with either Swansea or your fans on here, maybe the odd one or two but we are not clones so there's always going to be a difference of opinion. Me? More than happy to see the Swans staying up and hopefully like us, prove the doubters and so called experts wrong! I also think quite a number of City fans share Swansea fans desire to see QPR go back down. Not because we dislike QPR as a football club, or indeed Warnock as he has now departed but because of the handful of somewhat unpleasant fans they have on here with their copy & paste response of "**** off back to your own board" - bless them, the world IS out to get them you know
