Enzo Mac is due to try and get his career off at Light Heavyweight up and running this weekend. I have met the guy a few times and he is a really nice bloke with a lovely family. His father is a real 'boxing' man and has helped teach loads of deprived kids in the area.

I can't say I know much about Gyorgy Marosi, but he is undefeated.... but I can't seem to find out who he has defeated!

I wish the bloke had a chin as strong as his heart/pride, but I honestly hoped he would pack it in after the Frenkel fight.

It's a strange situation, cos I don't know what I want more, him to win and get the career going again, shutting up the critics and setting up bigger things (talking about Clev etc), or him not getting hurt again (something I never have worried about in a pro boxer in all my time watching)

I hope he proves the doubters (me included) wrong
 
I met Enzo once after he fought on the undercard of a Calzaghe fight. Calzaghe, kept to himself, but Enzo was at the bar with the fans having a good time. Was a top guy, genuine good bloke, and most people in the fight game have said similar things about him.

Enzo following the defeat by Haye suffered a string of heavy knockouts, which made me fear for his safety. The Frenkel KO was a shocking KO.

I'm a boxing fan and I like KOs but I didn't like that one, the ref should be ashamed of himself for letting that continue after the first KD, Enzo could have been seriously hurt.

I hope he does well at light-heavy but boxing is a dangerous game and if you keep on getting KOed like that it will not be good for his future.

He has got a nice little number on Boxnation, and heavy defeats could even ruin that.

But yes, I hope he proves me wrong.
 
Happy days ... a 91 second payday for Enzo. We all knew he could bang, but the opponents will get better. Lets see if his chin was only fallable aginst the heavier boys, now he has slimmed down.

I still find it strange that he has stepped down in weight at 31 yr old. If he could have made the weight, why not get down there in his earlier years at his 'prime' ?

If I was at all synical, it could make me think the stable/Frank Warren wanted and encouraged him at Cruiser so as to not clash with the other fighters on the books and keep the golden eggs in seperate baskets......luckily I'm not though!
 
We all talk the talk but some can walk it also. Enzo gets full marks for bravery but the sport can be a dangerous game. He has taken some serious shots.

I hope he gets the career back on track if thats his choice and also stays unhurt, but every boxer knows the risks when they lace up the gloves.
