Anyone remember the reaction when Barton got sent off against Liverpool in 2009?

    Barton's off the pitch behaviour may be enough to keep him out of the national side, but the double standards are disgusting given that: Gerrard, Cole attacking and even shooting people, Ferdinand failing to appear for a drugs test, and to a lesser degree Terry and Crouch both cheating on their partners, and now by the look of it Carroll, we all know how bad he can be off the pitch.

    100% agree with this

    But just to add i don't think the tackle he did on Alonso was that bad...i can remember watching it on TV an at the time i couldnt see it being a red card offense, but the red card made me a little less angry by seeing his reaction, when he swat his boots across the dugout into the wall summed up what Joey is about, i dnt think any other player at the time felt like that, he was one of the few that felt the same fustration the fans felt and showed it
