With Mr. Phelan due any time now
And soon to make his Colney coaching bow,
It would be nice if this could engineer
A winning instinct which would grow and grow

Because that knack, once lost, is hard to find
And good play, ultimately undermined,
As two steps back for every one forward
Makes life in this league much more of a grind

He comes with an immaculate CV
Premier League quality if you ask me,
Which does at least show intent and desire
To improve the performances we see

For those who wanted an experienced head
With knowledge too, of what needs to be said,
We couldn´t have found any better man
If only Neil is willing to be led

For altercations pitch-side there have been
As many fans apparently have seen,
Whích may have caused the Robson dismissal
Match days we need unity ´mongst the team

But can they compliment each others work
Then this move won´t seem like any knee-jerk,
And it could really just revitalise
Our season, for what new perils may lurk. OTBC

Hi skald bor. Me for one. I saw green shoots starting to emerge from our last game. Against Borough we collapsed when conceding a penalty, this time they fought on. We didn't concede late this time and earned a point against a better TEAM! Yes I consider the Seagulls showed more cohesion than our team, they showed more awareness of a team mates presence, if only Johnson had noticed a player to his right in a better shooting position when he tried for goal. Still a point well earned.

Been a bit of criticism after the game. I notice that those who advocate change didn't state what their alternative would be. We are still on course even if it appears more difficult.

Other teams are strengthening their squads with loanees, we are fortunate financially able to afford dipping into the market. I was impressed with one player last week in a lower division. Apart from scoring two goals showed a nice turn of speed, something that is lacking in our midfield.

If our midfield had covered for Russell Martin, there would have been no need for Turner to vacate his central position and concede that first goal!

I hope MP can improve on our defensive lapses.

Rex ok ?

Hi RBF bor, just seen on the club website Reg Foulkes has passed one. Remember watching him playing against us for Walsall at Carrow Road. Played a blinder, one of the reasons we signed him. Nice to know the club keeps knowledge of old players.

Evening NORKIE, can see only positives from the Phelan appointment, as long as

1) he himself, despite being clearly the most qualified of the three, can accept a role where he is subservient to Adams - whích if the rumour is true, is what caused the rift between Adams and Robson

2) Adams can and will accept any advice that Phelan throws his way

because I´m sure Phelan has got plenty he can bring to the table, and the impression he gives, is that he won´t hold back from saying what he thinks needs to be said.

I noticed that Reg Foulkes had passed on too, just before my time, never actually saw him play.

The King is well! :)
