It actually does fit the forum properly, many of us just view through too small a window. Computer displays come in all shapes and sizes these days and must cause nightmares for web designers. DT's excellent design is perfectly in line with the sizes the site owners specified. Stretching or shrinking to match the open window would distort the image. DT I'm sure could explain this far better, but will be standing in his waders in a river in France at the moment. The customer I'm going to today has a good sized display and I will see the whole picture (if I sneak on for a look!). It was only when I started going there I realised that Alan McDonald and Tony Fernandes were on the last banner, I bet many who can not see the new shirt and Brixton's shirt are in that same boat.
I get the below, not as nice as DT's full version as the most prominent badge is the Div 2 champions one! I am on 1440x900 max resolution with display set to 100% - i can't get any more on the screen, maybe a wider screen monitor would... Anyway its **** load better than it was.
Bonjour Unusual size requested and static tech means that always a bit of the image will be missing Won't be home for a while as has new house here now will always do a smaller version to suit if required
You are bang on mate, if i do this i get what ever size i want but you can see all the banner, the text is too small but the banner is there.
It perfectly fits the forum when you're fully 'zoomed out', which isn't the way anyone views it. Not a slight on DT at all, he's created a brilliant banner to the proportions he's been given. Obviously the banner is a set size, so if it was shrunk there'd be a white boarder of nothingness around it when uploaded to the site, which would look a bit odd to those zoomed out further. I just wonder if the current design is cropped from a larger image where you can see more of the shirts? If that was the case some people's issues with viewing would be remedied by using a larger crop as the banner, rather than the smaller one (if that makes sense). Then 'the average' zoom would see DT's original banner in it's entireity, and zooming out further would display current material not shown on the current design.
Just logged on - see banner has temporarily reverted back to Cissé + Plane + Taarabt, so assume rollback is to allow for formatting adjustments to be made to the new banner?
Did that - still have the old banner (and I thought Swords was crazy with his comment yesterday?). I was seeing the new banner at work yesterday.
Strange Kilburn, CTRL F5 should go directly to the website and ignore anything cached, What browser are you using ?
You have to press ctrl as well as the f5, f5 uses the cache. The change of computer means that its clearly that as everyone else sees the new one.
