Evening guys - I'd like a couple more to make this respectable. My outrageous prediction for the future is that RB-I will be sold in two seasons' time for £1m. IMO, he will be this season's surprise package. This Pinot Grigio is really good...
Tewks - Your probably right but if he plays for the first few matches of the season like he has played pre season it could be a january sale at that price or a bigger fee in January 2013. Apparently Green provided the cross for Benson to score on 46 mins 0:1 to us
You'll like him, Irish - a bit on the undernourished side, but always looking for the ball and with clean distribution and an attacking mindset. We really need to pick up the pace in this game. Outrageous prediction Number Two - Sullivan will start in goal against Bournemouth.
Only the crossbar saved him against Welling and he looks about 20 pounds overweight - I really do like him and he's an Addick through and through but he's gotta sharpen up. Posts a bit random tonight, sorry - had a f*cking awful day at work today, so I'm in the middle of a Big Bang Theory marathon and a bottle of wine.
Think suli will start against Den Bosch, and against b'mouth. This was robbies game to stake a claim. Haven't heard anything bad about him from tonight, but have to question his weakness on long range shots.
Pardew wouldn't loan us any players Perhaps Robbie needs to go and get his eyes checked? There are far far too many long shots going in for a keeper of his undoubted talent
Just in case anyone missed the banter between JJ and Elliot on twitter: RE: glad to get 90 mins under my belt. JJ: your a goalkeeper rob, you don't run about. RE: I prefer quarter back. JJ: you prefer quarter pounder. Made me laugh- but they are good friends, so remember it's just banter.
The worrying thing was that, as soon as their guy lined up the shot, it almost felt inevitable that it would go in. Elliott has consistently had a problem with long range efforts, and he cannot say all of them were unstoppable. As much as we love him for being Charlton through and through, I think Sullivan should be number 1. The general performance last night wasn't great, Green once again looked the biggest threat, Wiggins struggled in an attacking sense and the midfield of Bover and Hollands didn't really work. One other thing was bothering me: I was in the end terrace and there was a woman there who kept shouting 'take him on!' to our players when we were defending. Isn't that normally what you shout when you've got the ball and are trying to beat your man?
