I get what you mean, and I guess if you look into it deeply you do wonder why cheering on a team full of millionaires trying to kick a ball between two sticks can mean so much to people. What happens at the end of the season? You win a cup and then exactly then same thing happens again the next year. It's one of those things though and I guess it's mainly down to human nature...
