You're just naming people who have played abroad, some have been successful, however you have named players who were at the top of their game when they travelled, but English players have never been well distributed or half as successful as other countries player's who travel

Thats because British players don't move abroad (the ones I mentioned have all been successful, you named a couple who may not have set the world alight but they weren't exactly a guivarch) - the ones that do tend to be successful.

    Jamie McClen........

Went to somewhere in Scandanavia after he was released came back a couple months later! There seem to be a fair few lower league English players out in the MLS and seem to hold their own. Don't forget you got the likes of Fowler and Bridges out in Oz aswel. I would say there is quite a lot of English players abroad just not the so called world class players from the EPL so they don't warrant the media attention whilst they are out there.

Because the money in England is ridiculous compared to other countries. For example we took Lille's captain and it's rumoured we quadrupled his wages.

Just wiki'd him... he's had a ****e career! Was 26 when we released him! Should have been in his prime but he was just a youth player who stuck around and didn't play.

Just a reminder that Hargreaves never played or lived in England before moving to Germany, he moved directly from Canada (Calgary) to Munich, before then playing for England and Man U
