Sure. The ****y analogies super fans like you use are just ****ed up. You don't like the owner so you actually boycott games despite claiming to bleed black n Amber. The clubs the most important thing in your lives and you'll be here for ever, but the owner is just a custodian yet...you boycott the club. Fair weather ****ers. Obviously some people can't go for genuine reasons but the ****s who claim it's the hardest decision they've ever made need to grow the **** up.
I haven't been for 2 years but I personally think Its a strange time for people to start boycotting now. The name change fiasco is dead and buried WE WON, why carry on going for 2 years then walk away when the battle is won?
That makes no sense. Surely anyone who didn't want to give Allam any money, would be absolutely ecstatic if they could actually take some off him?
It's a fair point The main reason I renewed last season was because I assumed there'd be a ballot of season ticket holders so was prepared to pay for that vote That battle may be won, or it may not, I personally think if we go up he'll apply again The war is certainly not over. Big issue is the rebranding which treats the name Hull City as something embarrassing which much be hidden away and never used
I folded last night and bought a ticket for my son and I - wasn't going to go; can't really afford it and hate all the name change bollocks and the ill feeling it has created with the fans - but was talking to a colleague last night and started wondering how many more games I would get to see with my son by my side singing for and watching the team we love before he gets all teenager and doesn't want to be seen with his dad - found I couldn't help myself late last night and ordered online. Looking forward to it.
I'm going and I have a season ticket. Though I must confess to not really feeling "up for it" these days. A few years ago I would have been able to tell you all the fixtures we had coming up, but to be honest without checking I'm not sure who we play after Wolves. More a general malaise with football, the mercenary players, money, non-handshakes and the like. Will be more of a spectator rather than an avid fan I think, but hope for a good season for the team and that we play decent football and are at the right end of the table and perhaps I'll get my football mojo back. Will still go to plenty of away days too. I keep saying it could be my last season, but still have the addiction.
And beyond you apparently as you are still going. The application form for a season ticket just filled in itself did it?
I'm not going and I'm delighted. I hate football at the moment, and I hate the direction Hull City has gone in. It's less a football club, more a kiddies crèche. It's ****ing embarrassing. Time to strip it back down. Until that happens, I'll find something else to do.
I'm not boycotting games, we won the battle and have remained Hull City, while that was the case, I was always going to renew. As your name is a breach of the Trade Descriptions Act, I'm considering changing it, anyone got any suggestions?
He's already said there will be no further applications, he's also insisted he's a man of his word, he's got nowhere to go with this now without being exposed as a pathological liar and bringing further shame to his family. It's over, I might even start going again this season, life's too short to wait for him to finally depart this mortal realm before I start going again.
And yet rather than try to convince other abstainers to your point of view that the battle is already won and they should get behind the team, you continue to applaud/encourage their away games only stance. The reason of course is that without continuing supporter unrest, the HCST would have no reason for existing. One word, hypocrite.
As I have posted before lammy, arsewipe or arsehole would seem appropriate, whichever takes your fancy.
I haven't renewed, and I've chosen not to go today. I can't offer one specific reason why not, there are a whole host of different issues that have formed the decision. I'm half hoping that absence will make the heart grow fonder, but a large part for me is that the fun has gone out of the matchday experience. I had planned to go to the pub before and after to meet up with others, but I've decided not to for today, but I'm wavering on that. It was always the best bit for me anyway. I am thinking of phoning local radio to offer my view, just for the fun of saying ' I didn't go today Burnsey, but...'
We won the name change, a great reason to go and celebrate this. Also to pay respects to a City legend (oranges at the ready). The main reason I'm going though is as wee boy my dad and grandad took me to every BP game from 1979 up until I joined the Navy in 1988. Those times I'll never forget, happiest days of my childhood. I now have young family, I don't want my boys missing out on something that I had and loved. Can't wait for this afternoon, just hope the pro Allams will actually join in with CTID now rather jeer those that sing this.
Two of us not renewed and won't be going to home games until the twats have kept their word and pissed off, or until the "re branding" is reversed. I actually felt "dirty" last season but I really thought he would be gone by now. Looking forward to some away games, at least I can expect to be sat with fans who don't boo each other for singing a Hull City song.
I have encouraged no-one to boycott games, I simply respect other peoples decisions with regard to whether they go or not. The name change battle is won, but unfortunately, the campaign to reverse the rebrand continues. A trust does not need unrest to justify it's existence, in fact, Swansea are the best example of a successful trust and that comes from working with the club. One word, moron.
