To be fair iOS is a spin off of OS X which in turn was a reworking of Jobs' NexSTEP UNIX based operating system as are Linux and Android. It's the whole walled garden approach that's hard to stomach with Apple and of course with Microsoft who depite not making much hardware have the whole UEFI locking down fiasco to answer for. Im not going to get W8 because they are trying to turn it into a OSX. Ill stay on W7 forever as W8 is terrible using a mouse and KB.
Not really mate. There will always be two camps, iOS then their poor counter parts the droid lovers and of course the open source community who in my opinion are skin flints who don't like stumping up !
I have always been a 'PC person' and never had the intention of getting a macbook. But for me, for what I need it for (autocad, 3d max etc..) the macbook is by far the best way to go. I did alot of research into the best system that can handle such high powered programs. If I was going for a PC rather than a laptop then I would have got a PC not a Mac, but for laptop/notebook purposes its a mac all day long.
Ill give you graphic design, that is the only legitimate use for macs, the other 99% are used for poncing about in and outside coffee shops. As for open source stuff, Id rather use that than pirate payware.
Ok....so what was that about then...i got something about computers.....!! pretty poor from an Engineering Manager eh ???!! Judo, personally prefer a laptop over all others for AutoCad just for the usb links and disc facilities. Personal choice really.

Mick thinks he applied a fix late on 24th October. As at lunchtime the next day he was asking for feedback as to whether it had worked, because he couldn't create the problem for himself on his phone in the first place so he was having to guess a bit about what needed fixing. Are people still experiencing the problem now? Syd isn't around the site in an admin position any more. brb has replaced him as supermod.
Happened to me a couple of times again last night, and pretty quickly after arriving, no problem this morning though.
I seem to be having the opposite problem of late, like things not 'popping up' often enough................ instead of seeing a computer technician, maybe I need to see a doctor!
Before doing something drastic like going to the doctor, just ask yourself, has the mrs let herself go recently? It's always assumed that these things are the man's fault, but women should start taking their share of the blame too.
I can guarantee you that Macs are far more stable as I use both and regardless of power and the applications I have far less trouble running Macs ... Time is money in my business and unless you configure a custom PC you won't get the task done IMO ... Macs do this straight out the box and have a superior operating system . They are just machines and have very little to do with creativity ... That comes from inside I can also tell you that most professional software ie Adobe will all be cloud based soon and it will be your connection speed we will all be talking about in the future ... Most ISP throttle like **** now i have to reconfigure my router everyday it seems . Detech is the way forward
