Yes, more than one, actually but still not the one I was thinking of. Talinn in Estonia: Ajax Lasnamae, Flora, Levadia and Nomme Kalju
The UEFA ranking determines the number of teams competing in the season after the next, not in the first season after the publication of the ranking. Thus, the rankings at the end of the 2011â12 season determine the team allocation by country in the 2013â14 (not 2012â13) European season. This coefficient is determined by the results of the clubs of the leagues in UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League games over the past five seasons. Two points are awarded for each win by a club, and one for a draw (points are halved in the qualifying and playoff rounds). Bonus points are allocated for: + Qualifying for the Champions League group phase (4 bonus points). + Reaching the second round of the Champions League (5 bonus points). + Reaching the quarter, semi and final of either the Champions League or the Europa League (1 bonus point). The top three each get three automatic places and one via qualifying in the Champions League and three places in the Europa League (those three are England, Spain and Germany in that order). [Total 7] The next three get two automatic places and one via qualifying in the Champions League and still three in the Europa League (those are Italy, Portugal and France in that order). [Total 6] These excluse the three potential 'fair play' positions for the Europa League which England normally gets a spot for. It's unlikely this seasons blip will cause England to fall out of the top three.
I'm not so sure... taking nothing away from the Spanish/Portuguese sides, but it seems to me neither of the Manchester clubs were particularly interested in this competition.
In the old Eastern block all the sections of society formed teams. For example, CSKA in Russia is the old Soviet Army's team, Lokomotiv is the railway workers team, Dynamo is the state/ police team & Spartak were the trade unions' team. Find that quite interesting.
As always feel sorry for the fans, Fergie picked a crap team for whatever reason with Park and Cleverley in midfield, was never going to work, just arrogance really, if they don't want the match pull-out of the tournament. I see Man City are winning so even if they go out they've had a crack at least.
Watch Athletic every week and this is no surprise that they beat United, they'd of beat any United team tonight. Athletic started the season slow but have come good now, I hope they hit 4th spot as they deserve a shot at the Champions League.
