They were the two players I was thinking of. Unless Mick had completely lost the dressing room, I don't think it made much sense to get rid of him. Even if they had gone down, I think he'd have been the right man to get them back up to the PL within a couple of seasons, same with Colin at QPR really. However, I suppose all it takes is that fabled 'new manager boost' to get Wolves a couple of unexpected wins, and thats probably them safe for another year.

So after all the names linked and the managers the fans wanted, they've appointed micks assistant terry connor!

The reason managers have turned it down I think is cause of money, as I understand it Mick was on 500k a year which for a prem manager is seriousley low and I will only guess that they want to stay in that area of wage bracket.

"This is a decisive step which creates certainty. The players are fully behind it," Wolves owner Steve Morgan said.

"Since we made the difficult decision to part company with Mick, we have been through a diligent process of assessing potential candidates."

"Having spoken to a number of people we have drawn that process to a close and myself and the board are unanimous that Terry is the right man to lead the club for the remainder of the season."

What a load of old crap.<laugh>

You appointed him because he was the ONLY one who wanted it.<doh>

They may as well have never sacked him if they're going to bring in his assistant. Not much will change and they won't do any better.

For wolves sake I hope I'm wrong on that.

they probably also realised, whoever they got it was going to be tough to stay up, so keep it cheap and appoint from within, stay up and it's a bonus, go down and rebuild with a new manager
