Why wouldn't his favoured 433 not work for him? Strange viewpoint. 3 very good sides. All bases covered. Should have 2 more signings to add on top of di maria as well.
You've 4 forwards playing!!!! You cannae have mata n di Maria especially if even dwight dia Maria Yorke says so
Well Rooney can drop deep a bit in the 3rd one, but otherwise it seems Man Utd are gambling on the hope that "Carrick+Herrera" is a title challenging/top 4 midfield
Interesting that United have never used their wingers as midfield operatives and now you wish to classify them as such.
I do find this crap hilarious... when it suits wingers are strikers on here and when it suits they are midfielders. Now i know the uneducated think paul scholes could tackle too. The art of midfield play is clearly beyond UiR as he is too young to rememebr roy keane and only has muck like carrick and cleverly to refer to. Mata is not nor never will be a CM. he doens't track, doesn't cover, doesn't tackle. he is a classic top of the pitch no 10 playmaker type. Di maria is a fast winger. Formation 1 therefore is hilarious as it ask mata to do a job in a role alien to him..... its pure sheer stubbornness that makes UiR unable to admit utd spunked 37mil on mata and 8months later replace him. At least just say ah well... just like donkey felliani. BTW if you'd even put him in... but i just suppose the booing convinced you he has no role to play.
I've only just come to this thread after a few days away. I tried valiantly to wade through the usual argumentative nonsense these things kick up but my stout-hearted efforts were frustrated after a few dozen posts. So. Whether or not Utd can bounce back is a different question, the OP asks whether or not we should feel sympathy for their fans? Of course not. It's football, not real life. Nobody's getting hurt (or shouldn't be). Laughing at "the mighty fallen" is one of the aspects of being a football fan. They are our only real long-term rivals for trophies won, and we'll show them the same level of sympathy we've been getting from them since the early 90's.
Globilisation. Traditionally in British culture wingers are considered part of the midfield. In some continental cultures they have been considered to be part of the forwards, (not midfielders).
They've had to lock Di Maria in his new house http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ever-wanted-to-leave-real-madrid-9693212.html
