You obviously never watched it in NG, a few of them usually(students)venture into the Picture House on London Rd, but they are pitied rather than facing a worse fate.
Maybe I got a bad lot today. They're all just in denial and go automatically to shut them down mode when someone points out the obviousness of it. The other thing that pisses me off about them is that Utd fans always assume that everyone else is a Utd fan, even when they well know the other person isn't. They're ****ing blinkered numbskulls but like I say it could have just been the lot I was saddled with today who have always been the same and will never change.
Yes I do have sympathy for individual Manc fans and I said so the other night to Diego. However, I have no sympathy for the pundits and the United fans who cannot admit that things have changed for United and a new reality has to be recognised. Neither do I have sympathy for those who try and claim that nobody on this board could have anything but a biased view. Apart from the fact that we are seeing a turn of fortunes there are few similarities between the situation at OT today and that which happened at Anfield in the 1990's. In the vast majority of organisations, change (1st or 2nd order) is painful, messy and takes time to complete. How painful, messy and how long it will take will depend upon the senior management at OT and the fates that surround them.
2 defenders and a GK stood watching as Valencia rolls the ball across the 6 yard box #nosympathy You need to concentrate against all opponents or points are easily dropped
2 games into the season. It's a bit early for this. Ours might go belly up yet too. Yes. Laugh at those who thought they would run away with the league... but too early to say they're completely out of the challenge. It's obvious they're not the all conquering behemoth they thought they were two weeks ago... but they might manage more than mid table obscurity yet.
I do feel sorry for them. Their blind optimism, and at times bravado, is so pathetic it's almost heartbreaking. UIR, Diego, Admit you are neck-deep in it and go from there. We'll respect you for that.
The issue is that the mancs forgot history, and how letting Busby go upstairs had a detrimental effect on the club. So when Fergie goes, do they tell him to sod off and never darken their door again? No they repeat history. I can envisage history repeating over and over, as they don't keep faith in any manager who cannot deliver within 3 years. LVG doesn't really stand a chance, They need another 6 players just to look half decent, and they will be years behind the top 4 and always playing catch-up, at which point the owners will bottle it and replace him for a big european name, and so the cycle will repeat again. How do I know this? Ryan Giggs. What is the point of keeping hold of Ryan Giggs? The last vestige of the old era. "He knows the club" the only problem is all that he knows has fallen apart and you simply cannot rebuild it the same way, you have to start again, and go with a clean sheet, in a new direction. Pick a manager and let him do his thing. That involves not having the old manger on the board, and not having his club captain as the assistant manager. man U are in a big hole, and I don't see any sign of them putting down the shovel.
Bit like two full backs recently brought to the Premier League, and we all know Spain are noted for producing the best full backs in the world. By the way, Herrera had the most successful tackles and interceptions in Spain last season, and he is not a defender.
Perfect kind of player for someone fast and tricky who runs into space thats created from herrera winning tge ball back. If only we had such a player
Theres also a lack of confidence. Largely down to the standard of some of the stand in players we have playing right now. Weve got some quality players to come into the side. New and old who will freshen up the team and give us a well needed boost. The team that playes today would struggle to achieve top half. Thankfully those im question are only bit part players.
"stand in players"? Ffs UIR you've ranted that the remnants of fergies tenure are class players, so now they're stand ins. Fletcher, Jones, Valencia, Young etc were your mainstay and Lingard, Blackett and Januvag etc were Utd's future, you can no longer give Chavs or City stick for throwing owners money at the prem title.
There is a lot of hope and straw grasping going on here with some of our rivals UIR, either that or some major lack of football understanding and blinkered thinking
Good squad players if played one at a time as replacements, but like any other team we suffer when having to play many back-up players all at once
