You seem to know the score, what would you suggest?

 

Put the nut on first, then plastic washer, then rubber washer. Push pipe right in making sure rubber washer doesn’t twist. Hand tighten. That’ll do.

 

Think I'm missing some rubber and plastic washers, maybe that is why it was leaking(it was also blocked). Cheers, hombre. Too late to do it now anyway, but may ask again tomorrow, as not sure whether you mean the pipe I took off or the pipes that are still attached.

 

If that doesn't work try soldering them.

 

Personally, I'd stare at it for an hour or two before calling a plumber.

I've blown up the small image fiasco and it's really pretty simple.

Put the nuts and washers onto the pipe, put the trap on and tighten the nuts.
