Higher then them 3 would have ever/will ever taken us, im pretty sure about that. I think he would have had us fighting it out for champions league places.
I disagree that Reid would have done any better than he did. He knew how to play one way and he knew how to build a team around Niall Quinn. When Quinn finished Reid didn't know what to do and we got relegated in the end. However Reid should not have been sacked. He deserved the season to turn us round. Would you have him back? That's the question.
Probably into a portsmouth situation. Dont get me wrong i loved old monkey heed but when he was given decent money he spent 3.5 million on both milton nunez and nicolas medina. He was a good motivator and just loved to attack which is why he was loved but im not too sure he could pick a transfer barring quinn and phillips.
Dont forget £3.5m on Laslandes and and £6m on Flo. Thats £16.5m on 4 players that don't have barely 60 games between them and from whom we got diddly squat back for. Reid did bring some great quality to the club but also wasted a fortune at the time (it was a fortune for us).
