I think Rio's done alright if I'm honest. The only real mistake I can remember him making was v Norwich away. He's certainly not our worse defender.
I actually think Ferdy is ok, not great by a long shot, but ok (and certainly better than Fitz Fuggin Hall). Id pair him with Hill as a few have mentioned...looked like a pretty good partnership in the making and feel we need to keep it consistent. Either that or go back to Ferdy n Gabby, which is how we generally started out. I think FJ hit the nail on the head, we simply dont hold onto the ball long enough to prevent wave after wave of attacks/crosses. If you invite a prem team on, chances are they are eventually going to score, either through attacking skill or defensive error. I also think it is worth reminding everyone how well Kenny performed for us last season...during last season, his handling of crosses was also pretty crap so no change there and should not be of any great surprise this season. His skills for me sit purely in shot stopping, something he excels at. The difference this season is that the quality of opposition is far better (not helped by the fact that the back four often changes, let alone the first 11). Anywho, waffling again...
You cannot perform off past glories, yes, last season he did his bit for promotion, but this season his performances have shown he is not a prem keeper.
