Thinking of him and Michael Turner in defence still sends shivers down my spine. We haven't had a decent CB partnership for years and years.
Kone and Kaboul was the last one we had but it was over before it started.

Was one of those you wanted to be a great player... You were told he could be a great player... But he wasn’t really very good! Still better than what we have available now mind! But, then again, I’m pretty close to getting a start in cd and I’m 45, 5’ 6” and overweight!!
 
Thought he came across very well in the documentary about the John Terry abuse. Clearly not the sharpest tool, but seems like a decent enough bloke.
