I very much need my own space at times. My house is often accommodated by in-laws and I just need to get away. They all think I'm an unsociable bastard but that's because they don't realise how ****ing annoying they can be. I've got an overseas based in-law plus sprog arriving soon for a week. Obviously that means other in-laws will appear and want food and lodging. Sloping off to my office to watch TV on my phone isn't being unsociable, it's being unselfish.

I think some off it may depend on jobs.

I've never worked, nor couldn't work in an office type job. So that maybe part off it?

My office is in my house. Part of the problem is I work from home. Still, I think everyone has the right to slope off and choose to be by themself. If I’m sat in front of a spreadsheet or reading a book, just don’t talk to me.

Ohh. I couldn't do that mate. It would drive me bonkers.

As **** as my job is, it allows me to interact constantly with other bonkers people. I like that.

I'd hate to work alone. All off my working life has involved other people.

Probably why I know every ****er,

Plus as you know, I'm a manual person, I graft with heavy stuff. I couldnt sit in an office. Probably why I laugh at fitness and 'I'm not drinking 'threads.

But I do sometimes sit and wonder, 'could , should I have chosen a different option.

Every time I get the same answer.

I'm not that money orientated now,.

I graft hard. I get too Thailand twice a year, too see the bairn. They are well looked after.

I am complete the opposite to this thread. I miss being life off the party. Bit off an egomaniac thing to say, I know. But I've hardly been shy on here, but as @Tel knows, always true

Mrs luv goes off to visit her mum and dad without me on occasion, usually during the school holidays, I take full advantage and just do my own thing.
I have a mate who's the opposite and has to be around people all the time.

Been back from holiday a week now but where we were for the final week or so people we 'knew' started to arrive towards the end.

Was dreading it, I knew they were coming, well some at least as some arrived out of the blue, and I knew the crossover was brief but I'm just ****ed if I wanted to even see them.
I go on holiday to away from that, not to meet up and spend a time with non friends and pretend I give a ****.

It's the reason we went a week earlier this year, to avoid interaction with half of my son's rugby teammates parents. I can't be arsed talking to them on a Sunday at games, I'm certainly not doing it on holiday.

Went on tour with my kids footy academy twice and people take a dislike to me because I'd go off and do my own thing other than sitting around drinking from morning to night. I don't care though and there's always a couple of like minded people who will eventually tag on. When we went to Portugal the idiots all spent the week in a Welsh bar, unbelievable.

In Spain I had a morning stroll and chat with Terry Venables while they were all in the bar, lovely guy.

This is the place we stayed...
