And if they stop being politically driven oafs then I will be first to congratulate them.

As has been said many many times, they can be a force for good as long as they remember who they are, fans, the same as everyone else. They can make all the political statements and drives they want as long as the Club is not brought into disrepute. Let them keep their divisive political statements to the confines of the internet and private places of their own choosing and don't make the Club the platform on which to preach, especially when their views are offensive to many within the fanbase which they purport to share some common brotherhood.

It's almost impossible to take football out of politics, and I wouldn't change it anyway. It lets you know who the Good Guys are

Why is it impossible? I personally choose to keep my politics out of my social life, many others do too so it's not impossible, it's freewill to make any choice you want and simply because some people want to bring politics into every aspect of their lives does not make it right.

When I watch Celtic I watch them because I want to watch a game of football involving the team I have chosen to support, politics does not come into it. Several clubs in the world are deeply driven by politics but who would want to support Lazio?

I think it's deeply ingrained in a lot of older clubs, although there is a new one desperately trying to associate itself with the NO campaign. Also we see the governing bodies bowing to political pressure over poppies and Mandela

I like the idea that a team can be more than a football club. Our club is happy to play along with that when it suits

Lazio are arseholes and many arseholes support them....Bad Guys

You are nothing but an immature boy, Mindy.

Why don't you give up the completely pointless pursuit of scoring points in the name of your club and do something useful with your life.

Your attempt at pigeon-holing supporters of certain clubs as "bad-guys" when they probably have millions of fans of all faiths/backround/races is entirely ridiculous.

Support your team, by all means, but anything else is just a complete waste of life.

Many outsiders looking in think that of Celtic fans, and Celtic may be more than a Club but that it does not necesarilly follow that Politics are needed to make it different. Extreme Politics like that eschewed by the GB and others, set them apart from their fellow fans, that is their decision as I said, so if they want to be politicallly active in the name of Celtic FC then they surely expect people who don't agree with their focus to react.

Celtic as a club welcome everyone from all backgrounds, creeds and cultures, that apparently is not a view shared by the GB, they only welcome the ones who agree with their politics, they are no different from other radical fan groups in that regard.

Double-teamed by EDGE & Dev. Never thought I'd see the day.

All joking aside, both those replies are far too rational for Mindy. <ok>

People are allowed to disagree with each other while at the same time belong to the same fan group. The GB are just better at voicing their opinion on issues they believe are close the the heart of the club. If you just want to watch the football then ignore them, they are few in number.

    Yes

Leigh is seen as a racist, they want him to change his ways, were open to all Leigh

The armed forces have butchered many innocent Irish Catholics, they see themselves as innocent Irish Catholics, the club was created to help innocent Irish Catholics

Palestinians are oppressed, see Irish Catholics
