He was mistaken. They went to Joshua because he stalked his man throughout and landed more punches. Most of the jabs thrown by Parker landed in the thin air 18" in front of Joshua. Anyone who knows their onions could see this.
Shocking. Something odd about it all, too. In the dressing rooms before the fight he spoke to both fighters in good English, then reverted back to Italian in the ring. I don't think it made a massive difference to the fight, though. The obvious assumption is that Parker would have been able to get in close, but AJ is very strong on the inside, too. Uppercut, anyone? I think Joshua is slightly better and stronger in every department, and he would have found a way to win, regardless.
