the don I think Ladbrokes on quite a few maybe? I use Totesport online and they go NRNB on the Gold Cup only so I thought I'd have a wee dabble.
Yes, so Labrokes are NRNB for some of the Cheltenham races they have albeit worse prices than elsewhere which is fair enough.
Don, Go to http://horseracing.betfair.com/ Select ANTEPOST Select GB And then there will be a list of dates, and one of them says CHELT AP SPECIALS That lists prices for various doubles/trebles/accumulators Doubles Hurricane Fly/Sizing Europe 8.2/1 Hurricane Fly/Big Bucks 3.4/1 Hurricane Fly/Long Run 8.2/1 Hurricane Fly/Kauto Star 13.5/1 Sizing Europe/Big Bucks 4.3/1 Sizing Europe/Long Run 9.5/1 Sizing Europe/Kauto Star 14/1 Big Bucks/Long Run 4.6/1 Big Bucks/Kauto Star 7/1 Trebles Hurricane Fly/Sizing Europe/Big Bucks 14/1 Hurricane Fly/Sizing Europe/Long Run 26/1 Hurricane Fly/Sizing Europe/Kauto Star 41/1 Hurricane Fly/Big Bucks/Long Run 12/1 Hurricane Fly/Big Bucks/Kauto Star 21/1 Sizing Europe/Big Bucks/Long Run 14.5/1 Sizing Europe/Big Bucks/ Kauto Star 24/1 Accumulators Hurricane Fly/Sizing Europe/Big Bucks/Long Run 35/1 Hurricane Fly/Sizing Europe/Big Bucks/Kauto Star 47/1
Brilliant, cheers for that Toppy, was looking in the 'Multiples' in the options at the top. Fantastic stuff.
My AP bets so far are pretty boring!! Other years ive had a few outsiders at fancy prices but this year have gone for the ''bankers'' and been adding to stakes when i win something!! Doubles and Treble - Big Bucks (can i give this an 10 on the 1-5 scale????), Quevega (3), Hurricane Fly (3/4). Also Zarkander (1) e/w at 13s (wish i had waited for the without h/f market, can get 11/2 in that market with bet 365 which i think is a cracking e/w bet) Waiting for confirmation of Fingal Bays (4) target and NRNB before getting stuck into that.
Brilliant thread, here is a list of my ante post bets so far: Arkle: Peddlers cross 14's Champion hurdle: zarkander tbp 4.6 Supreme novices: distant memories 26 Champion chase: /al ferof 22 Fred winter: ranjaan 22 Neptune : Sous les cieux 27 NH Chase: harry the viking 8.6 Jewson: Silniaco conti 13 Ryanair: kauto stone 21 Triumph: minsk 17 I ddint realise i had backed so many!
Little update from Mr Henderson if you haven't had chance to see it, from January 2nd. Interesting for any SIMONSIG followers, as Henderson said he would certainly not run in the 3m race, but would probably go for the 2 and a half mile novice hurdle than the Supreme. However, he did not rule either out and he left it a bit open ended.
According to a lot of reports I've read on the Betfair forum, SAMAIN is to 'be kept as a novice' according to Willie Mullins on ATR, which from what I gather means he won't run at all this season? If that is the case I'm very, very disappointed Mullins is an absolute punters nightmare at times.
That was great..... thanks TopClass. Some really interesting comments there. Matt Chapman is brilliant at these sort of interviews. If he does one with David Pipe could you post that on here, too, please?

Aaargh...thanks TopClass...you're an absolute star! I'm so excited...I'm going to watch it right now.
I don't have many rules in life but I've just broken one of the biggest I do have and had a proper ante-post Cheltenham bet. I don't mind chucking loose change on rags in the hope you strike gold but I haven't had a decent bet post foot and mouth until today. Hills offer 6/4 Quevega and 4/7 Big Bucks. The World Hurdle looks to be a penalty kick for BB, Oscars is being talked up but there's no guarantee he will take part and even if he does I honestly think BB needs a decent horse to race against as nothing has really made him work for 3 years, incredibly the horse hasn't started odds against for 3 years either. The Mares hurdle could be a very weak affair - Voler La Vadette is unlikely to run and Unaccompanied will be bidding for the Champion Hurdle, both these horses are quote in Hills prices as 2nd and 3rd favs so the question is what price will Quevega be when these two pullout ? She is 100% guaranteed to run in the Mares, there's always talk about her taking a Champion hurdle shot and negativity around her lack of a recent run but she always makes it to Cheltenham, she always goes for the Mares and she always win comfortably - last years race (which may be stronger than this years renewal) was embarrassing, a festival race won by 10 lengths on the bridle ? This double pays very nearly 3/1 (2.928/1) and I think when the main opposition pull out of these two races both will be 1/2 or worse, on the day I don't see either horse being better than 4/9. Of course there's still 8 weeks of preparation to go and always the chance of freak things happening, but for a 3/1 return I'm happy taking the gamble. What do we think, mug or genius ?
In an attempt to follow up last years Al Ferof (25s), Final Approach (16s) and Zemsky (50s) I shall quite happily throw a few arrers your way: I have some nice looking (at the moment) ante post bets but with 8 weeks to go all could change very quickly! QMCC: Sizing Europe at 14s (backed to win Tingle Creek and QMCC double with laddies) nice job done there! Gold Cup: Have 6s Long Run but not at all confident any more. My outsider is QDLR at 25s EW. Have backed my old mate What a Friend again at 66s to small stakes! CH: 16s about Zarkandar EW who hopefully will win the Betfair Hurdle en route to this event. RSA: First Lieutenant 25s EW although might not even run in this now! If he does has a massive chance, festival form is the best form available. Ryanair: Gone out on a limb here and taken Kauto Stone at 25s EW, lacking in experience against the likes of Noble Prince and Albertas Run but hopefully will give them a race. My surprise horse runs in one of the races i do not like but seem to do well in, the Triumph, DILDAR has excellent flat form in France (only beaten 5l by Pour Moi) and Dan Skelton has been quoted as saying he skips over the hurdles! IF he wins his debut I will be extremely happy with the 25s EW that i have availed. Fingers crossed for this one. My favourite and strongest opinion and bet so far is SEA OF THUNDER in the Albert Bartlett at 25s and 20s EW. Should have won LTO as he was cruising in the lead only to jump and then crumble! Hopefully he will have an easy race NTO and then win this. Obviously with the good comes the bad: Backed Hinterland for the Triumph despite breaking all the rules by running prior to Xmas!! Damn fool Fingal Bay for the Neptune at 10s and 8s now looks wasted as i cannot have him winning unless it is soft and that will not happen either!! 2 that I am waiting to back once the NRNB arrives are Oiseau de Nuit who ran a cracker behind Finians Rainbow (no chance at all at Cheltenham!) and Wishful Thinking (surely requires 2 1/2 miles now)! 2nd one is Sir Des Champs but what race!! There are winners there and hopefully plenty of them
Grizzly I did the same double last year to my max stake and I think it paid about 3.3/1 then. Both of them look nailed on to me once again this year as they are both running in heats with little or no competition. The only reason I haven't repeated (yet) is a slightly poorer personal cash flow situation this year compared to last although I have had a good start to 2012 and if I can keep that going I may yet join you in the plunge. I don't think either will shorten much over the coming weeks though so am prepared to wait a little and see what happens nearer the time.
GDC- great to read your thoughts as always, I hope everything is well Sir Des Champs is my dark horse of the festival if he runs in the RSA. Stays all day and so far has jumped well. Not especially impressive LTO but Patrick Mullins reckons he had tonnes of horse underneath him when he was locked in battle with the market rival that ran out with 2 fences to go, and that was on really heavy ground on Boxing Day. I'm just not sure where he is being targeted really. The RSA looks a good opportunity to score some value if Grands Crus goes the Gold Cup route. On a side note: SOLWHIT- There must have been some news come out in the Irish press over the weekend because this fella has dropped to the bottom of the Arkle list on Betfair and has a 3 figure price. I havent been able to find the story though as of yet. Anyone care to enlighten?
