I shall miss the updates mate, I'm out from early Monday. You must be backing Baby Mix ? Had a look for any other names of interest - any horses with references to teething, wind, crying, sleepless ?

I am in an anticipating, restless mood now waiting for next week. it is at this time of year that I find work colleagues who have no interest in racing and havent even got a clue that Cheltenham is even happening particularly irritating. Actually you got to feel sorry for them havent you!: party time for the rest of us
GDC spot on mate, this is a beast of a horse... Needs soft in the description to run but def a dark horse if it does...
Dont know how to read into the exchanges but at the moment there is NO money in the lay column for either Steps To Freedom or Midnight Game. Which means that there is no one offering any odds for the layers (i.e no one backing either horse)? Bizarre. MG notably weak today.
All looks fine as far as I can see . . . Mullins did say Midnight Game worked badly the other day so understandable that he's drifted a little.
The other strange market anomaly is that for the Champion Hurdle Binocular is now 6.4 with Zarkandar at 8.4. But, in the without market, Zarkandar still just shades favouritism at 3.6 and 3.65 respectively.
I think the Hinterland idea is down. I spoke to Nicholls after the Sandown Preview Evening and asked him about Hinterland. He said he will most likely miss Cheltenham and either go to Aintree or be put away for next season. He hasn't been quite right but if he does go to Cheltenham it will be in the Supreme. He didn't disagree when I suggested that his November form might be the best juvenile form though. I strongly got the impression that he is highly regarded and too good to risk if they aren't 100% happy with him. His future will be over fences.
I think Hinterland could be top class over fences. Nicholls has made comparisons to Azerytiyoup on more than one occasion.
Morning all. I noticed Sporting Index have put up some interesting Cheltenham markets: Top Trainer Market: http://www.sportingindex.com/spread-...dex/M3616787_1 Top Jockey Market: http://www.sportingindex.com/spread-...dex/M3616786_1 Wondering whether there is any value to be found? Didnt look so on first glace but interested to hear peoples thoughts. Also Spreadex have some interesting markets: http://www.spreadex.com/Sports/#/tcl/1331467353101/PRICES|GROUP_ID=446473
the don I like Alan King as a saucy little bet for most successful trainer - backed him at 35 a few weeks ago, although I think he is no bigger than 14/1 now. Even without Invictus he has his best festival team for years and I think it entirely possible that he could get 5 winners through the week (which is usually enough to win the title)
Don I've bought Mullins and Walsh winner x 10, I've also sold distances at 112 having looked to buy them all Winter. They opened up 95-102 and mived it up to 112-120 - I can only assume it;s mooved up because of the number of hotpots they think could win by a fair way, on this ground I'm happy to be short at 112. Think it made up 105ish last year
From Alan King's website (www.alankingracing.co.uk) - STILL no mention of Hold On Julio ................................... ALAN KING has indicated that Montbazon, who kick-starts our Cheltenham Festival raid in Tuesday’s curtain-raiser, the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, could be one of our best chances of the week. Expressing himself “very happy” with the form of his squad for the biggest four days in NH racing, Alan said on Sunday: “Apart from Grumeti, who worked on Saturday morning, having had that little hiccup, all our Cheltenham horses had their last major gallop last Wednesday, and I must say that nothing is going there in better form than Montbazon. “Montbazon and Smad Place worked exceptionally well. Montbazon has improved so much since he won his prep-race at Newbury, and his work at home has been unbelievable, while, though Smad Place has it to do against Big Buck’s in the World Hurdle, his work has been a revelation compared to what it was last season, and he just seems a different horse. If he could finish third or fourth it would be absolutely fantastic.” Of the others, Alan said that Grumeti is back on track for the Triumph Hurdle on Friday, observing “he only missed one day’s cantering for that pricked foot, so there are no worries on the score of fitness, and I am very laid-back as to which Choc rides. He can decide Thursday morning if he wishes – Wayne (Hutchinson) has won on Grumeti and Balder Succes, so it does not matter which way ‘Choc’ jumps.” Alan also indicated that Medermit would “probably” run in the Ryanair Chase on Thursday rather than the Gold Cup 24 hours later. He added: “Medermit is 7-1 for the Ryanair and 33’s for the Gold Cup, so it makes sense to lean that way and unless one of the big guns drop out of the Gold Cup, I would think we will be running on Thursday. I am dying to try Medermit over three miles, but I am not so sure about three and a quarter at what is bound to be a furious pace.”
Mullins said “Boston Bob will be kept to the end of the week for the Albert Bartlett Novice Hurdle. I was talking to Mr Wylie (owner) this morning and that is what I said and he is happy enough to do that.” “Midnight Game, Simenon and Allure of Illusion will probably be my three runners in the Supreme Novice Hurdle while Mark Your Mark and Sous Les Cieux will run in the Neptune Novices. I've not made decision on which race Felix Yonger will run in yet.” “In the World Hurdle I will have four runners - Mourad, Mikael d'Haguenet, So Young and Thousand Stars.”
Isn't this actually about the worst time to back in the Cheltenham races anyway? Any ante-post value is long gone and yet there are so many horses whose target is still up in the air. I'm not at all surprised that the markets are quiet. Most horses in the Supreme will trade at bigger odds 10 minutes before the race than they are right now so I would expect the exchanges to be very quiet. You''ll probably find more bets being matched on the Lincooln tonight
