Let me first start this thread by saying I have had a couple of beverages tonight. For those of you who think I have a problem let me assure you that I am a shift worker so in that vain this is actually the start of my weekend.
I have never been a person who posts a lot on this board I Generally post one or two a month and I also post on the prediction league for which I won last year (sorry neveroffside).
I was also a contributor on the old bbc 606 in a similar way. Whilst I am not a continuous poster I am an avid reader.

Some of you will know that I know dilligaf outside of this forum. I know that when he took the position of mod on he did so in good faith because he wanted to do a good job in regulating the board.
I believe the old adage goes you can please some of the people some of the time you can not please all of the people all of the time, dilligaf tried his best to maintain order on the board. Whilst you may not agree with his decisions it is fair to say that he and the other mods have a very difficult job.
I think it is unfair that at least two posters have now decided to gauge a personal vendetta against him. I find it offensive and would like in to a form of bullying that has escalated in the last few years. That is the form of a cyber bully. I wont name anyone because that makes me as bad as you. However you say your not happy and you want things to go back like they were then thats fine. Instead of persecuting people why not put a joint post up to discuss the moderating rules of the board and come up with a way to please the majority. It has been said a lot of posters are leaving but I would say not because of the mods its because of the terrible posts on here that derail many topics. I hope you who are involved can stop your torrent of abuse and use your words to create great debating topics that everyone can engage in.

Hear hear. I've been actively looking at other forums as it's really been getting on my nerves of late. Why can't we all just get along and discuss football...? ;)
 
Totally agree Norfolk. It beggers belief that you need to ask why we can't just talk football on this - a football forum, but you're absolutely right. It's been shocking on here lately with what seems to have been a witch hunt against Dilligaf.
He must know it was a minority, but there's only so much crap any man can take
 
I agree but i also think some of the less frequent posters need to voice their support at the time and not after the guy takes so much crap he decides to leave.

Please dont take that as a slight (to whoever may be reading), it most certainly isnt, its more to do with tthe fact that you guys actually carry more weight with your words than the likes of myself and guys that post artcles here regular. A classic case of less is more if you like !!

I pperfectly understand your view point as to just wanting to talk footy and nothing else,in a perfect world thats what it should be like here, i make a big effort to post articles to keep things on football and i very often get abuse for being "negative" because the issue is not a shiney happy one about how awesome the swans are!! we all know that taking football means the good bad and ugly of every aspect and this week there was quite a bit of negative press that to me was very relevent to talk about.

If i take the abusive posters to task and stick up for my content then that is seen as being argumentitive and derailment, i have recently made a big effort to stear away from this type of confrontation and refer things to the MODS instead,they have done a great job,trouble is they then get the abuse instead!!

I took time out from the forum recently just to see if it was me or my content that was being toxic, it wasnt, the trolls were still there and things remained the same,only difference was that there was just another poster targeted instead of me.

I do beleive as we are all Jacks together we should show some solidarity to the guys we voted as our MODS, its the weight of numbers that make a difference and the guys that do not post regular are the guys that can be a massive help, their views very often carry much more sway !!

I understand that alot of guys just cant be bothered with getting involved in bollocks like we had recently,why should they, but at the same time its a forum we all enjoy together from time to time, and as much as i hate to say it, we all need to voice our opinion when something is wrong.

Remember that without the infrequent posters this forum is absolutly nothing,you are the guys that really create the debate,you are the guys that make the difference with your views,you are the guys that actually carry more weight with your words, its nice to see supportive comments being made here on this thread today,im sure it does indeed give alot of support for the forum and dilli.
 
Heartwarming indeed to see the support for Dilli and this forum, and I'd just like to endorse all the comments on this thread, we can all make this forum, what it should be, and leave the petty nonsense behind, because nonsense it is. I hope we can all move forward from here on in, and focus on the footy debate, it's what we are here for, I'm also fully behind Chico as he appoints another Mod, should Dilli not surface!...................<ok>

Really heartwarming to see all this support and I appreciate it from all of you. It feels like I've been a verbal punchbag for months now but there are other issues I'm unhappy with too.

Ignore the muppets mate, they're gone now. Come back and enjoy discussing the swans again because I'm adament to turn this forum around.
 
Ash, you know more than most and you know I tried to help a poster, can't go into details as I don't want that poster identified but brb saw that as interfering !! I really take exception at that and for the life of me can't understand it.

Also, it's just a temp ban for breezy. Will that achieve anything because we all know he's likely to kick off again ?

I have a serious problem with black swan / casual or whatever his name is too. You as a mod and all the other good guys here don't deserve to see the outrage I feel like venting at him. I think if I stayed then the board could become a poorer place for it and I don't want that to happen. Before the shackles were on as I had to set an example now those shackles are off and the mood I'm in I could say anything to him.


One thing that does need to made known on here is the level of support I've received from the Bluebirds. This is something that had never crossed my mind before but I have to say that I've had messages of support from 5 of them. I won't name them because I don't want them to run the risk of being vilified on their board, but you know who you are guys and I thank you all very much for your kind words.


Yesterday there was no way I was coming back on here but now I'm 50/50.

As billy says he does know me and has had a chat that's has helped. I never thought I was that important to have one thread about me let alone two. Who knows I may start a third myself to really get on your nerves !!!!
 
I've already added my support on another thread, Dill, but I don't mind repeating myself if it helps change your mind. I think this board is at a bit of a watershed right now, a make or break moment, and we need as many decent posters as we can get to take things on. Hope you stay, mate.
 
Dill knows i support him and dont need to say it again......I was one of the ones that got on his back about banning casual for life but having listened to why he done it then i would have done the same thing......Anyway forget the idiots dill and just mod the forum with the other mods because i could not bare another vote as Dragon might get it <laugh> No in all seriousness if jacks are slagging of jacks then this forum might as well shut down like countless other teams have done and dont bother.....everyone has views that you may or may not agree with but that does not give anyone the right to slag a fellow supporter off....Keep posting dill...
