agree with o shea as captain for them to, experienced head, played at a higher level than nearly everybody that'll appear in the sunderland changing room. and of course as a former united player will have a winning mentality that bruce will hope will rub off on his other players
He is a world class player, no doubt. Proved it at Ajax, Inter first season and the world cup. But his injury levels a season are concerning, plus his lack of goals. I think he will adapt to the EPL though. VDV did well, and Sniejder is a better all round player. I think he's an ambitious player, playing in all three leagues, but now Serie A is not among st the best like the premier league and La Liga, so wants a new challenge. BTW is Nani for sale?
He's mostly on the bench though, was on the bench for the most important game of all - champions league, shows the SAF probably doesn't have that much faith in him in the big games. Signing Sneijder, would probably revert your formation to 4-2-1-3. Nani would be benched. A £20-22million bid would be a fair offer.
I can't believe Nolhman is trying to slate people considering the absolute bullshit he is constantly going on about.
SAF made the mistake of not starting Nani in that game, Valencia had a shocker (guess it was due to pressure) Don't expect it to happen again.
Fergie did not make a mistake he selected the in form player!!!!!!!!! Nani would have done no better in any way
He picked Valencia because he tracks back. And I'm not sure Nani would of done no better, neither are you
dont know how true this is ,?but ive been informed by a friend who is a citeh fan and knows people in the know.he reckons sjneider will be ours once citeh do a part exchange involving eto and cash for tevez.apparently the money off the sjneider deal will go towards the money needed for the tevez deal.dont know how that reads and dont really care.just got back from spoons so there.lol
Nani is a far Superior player to Valencia. International and club stats do not lie. These are hard facts. Valencia's influence is very exaggerated, if Nani missed a large part of last season and Valencia was 100% fit I am 100% sure we would not have won the league. Valencia is not a game changer and does not win any games on his own, hence why Nani was voted players player of the year. When we needed to win a game he would come up with a belter of a shot or a great assist from nothing. Valencia is a good player but if someone offered me a swap for him with a player like Mata I would snap their hands off. Valencia is not technical enough to be playing in and out at a team like Utd. His crossing is very one dimensional and over rated and can't cross with his left any better than me. This is a reason for his poor assists to game ratio. He is a nice guy and works hard and I like his personality but this blinds his ability. If some people do not like Nani fair enough, to be honest I would be happy if he left Utd as this hatred towards one of our players is boring. I enjoy watching talented players and it seems at Utd this is hated on. If you went back to 2005 there were a lot of people slating Ronaldo and wanting him sold. To be a talented player who is liked here universally you have to be in the elite of the best players. However, if you are a player with average ability and a hard work ethic you are liked by the majority even if you are a average player. In the technical leagues this is the opposite way round. Probably the main reason why England will never do well on the International stage. This attitude stems from the ideology of how football should be played here. Shame really...
Nani has definitely got more natural ability, I don't there's any doubt about that, but the way you disregard Valencia's ability is laughable, even mentioning international stats in your argument seems desperate when you consider one plays for a Portuguese team filled with attacking quality and the other plays for a pretty poor Ecuador team. If Nani would get the mental maturity to go with his ability he could be an amazing player, but more often than not he seems to pick the wrong option which is why he hit's so many shots way off target (if I remember correctly it was a lot more than any other wide man in the league last season).
