Todays latest gossip states that O`Hara,is to become a new signing for Wolves,
I personally think that he would have suited us,and fitted in well.

I know we have not signed anyone yet,but i do hope we dont take anyone,
currently on the "dross list".
I feel that if we have not signed anyone in the next two weeks, thinks could become rather difficult in finding quality within our price range.

Jol has said over the next 2 weeks he will evaluate the players but already knows 4 or 5 players will be leaving so will look to
bring in younger players as the squad has good experience but has alot of older players, and he is looking at turning the
squad younger.
I would suspect Wolves already had first dibs on O'Hara due to his loan spell, and the deal was done along time ago.

If Keane comes then he comes. If he does sign for us he won't be earning silly wages, and he'll be a decent option to have on the bench. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him, but I won't be losing any sleep if he does come.

I don't think we'd overpay for Keane at this point. And honestly? Last season I watched us start games with Diomansy Kamara with Eddie Johnson coming off the bench. Keane seems great next to those two!

Such true words surlyc, if we're complaining about keane we must remind ourselves of how awful those 2 were and how good it is to see the back of them. I agree with roscafre that o hara would have been a good fit but its not the end of the world. I've been very impressed with sidwell so we need a CM with a good range of passing to look to replace murphy long term. However we may find that this is not necessary till january as murphy may have fatigued a bit by then.

Yeah, no rush to buy anyone. And Jol stating he wants to bring down the age of the team suggests he won't go for Keane.

We'll get some quality in before the end of August - we may not know the names when they do arrive, but they will be worth the wait I'm sure.

Buying Keane doesn't seem to fit in with Jol wanting to get younger players in for an aging squad.

If Andrew Johnston is still at the club why get Keane ?
Keane would definately need to take a wage cut as I don't think he'll be first XI player, more a impact player in the last 30 minutes.

I'd rather try for the likes of El Hamdaoui.

If Andrew Johnston is still at the club why get Keane ?
This is key, really. If AJ stays, we shouldn't move for Keane. They would fulfil similar roles at Fulham and having both would be an unnecessary luxury.

My point was more a response to the way it was being made out that signing Keane would be the end of the world. He's not the player he was, certainly, but he's much better than several of our options last year (when, it should be said, we still managed to finish 8th).

If Sturridge isn't at Chelsea at the end of August I'll be very surprised. He must've done enough to warrant his place in their squad.
