I don't know it, but I do feel confident enough it is correct that I'd state it.
My reasoning is Lambert has achieved more with less than Hughton. If the evidence wasn't there, Hughton would probably be at Villa and we'd still have Lambert.

My reasoning is Lambert has achieved more with less than Hughton. If the evidence wasn't there, Hughton would probably be at Villa and we'd still have Lambert.
Lambert hadn't achieved anything until everything lined up in his, and our, favour. We need to give Hughton the opportunity to prove himself and I'm sure he's looking forward to the opportunity, could be in another three years time we think differently about who's achieved more.
I assume you mean Whitaker, I agree that given the clamour to sign Naughton he was always going to have a tough task to be accepted, however in the game against celtic before he was injured he looked really handy going forward, got into good positions and seemed solid at the back. Could well be that he's been trained to play his best against celtic though.
Could one of the reason that Hughton didn't go to Villa, be the fact that they had already had one Birmingham manager there and the fans weren't too keen on that, giving the manager no real support? Would they really have wanted to go down that route again?

Just to sort of back Carrabuh up, I don't really think it was in a negative post or even not getting behind Hughton.
I also probably agree with him, track record and career to date Lambert is probably the better manager of the two. And let's be honest that's what we all judge managers on.
Put into perspective we thought Lambert would be going to a higher placed team than Villa and if he'd of stayed I think he would have got the Spurs job, if not considered, especially when you look at their appointment. I don't think Hughton would have been considered for Spurs job?
It's not against Hughton when you bare in mind that he has only ready had 2 and a half seasons managing a team but Lambert's last three years have been so impressive I think he probably is the better manager at the moment as he has had more success to date.

For me, Naughton has got nothing to do with Whittakers acceptance, I'm just wary of where he's come from and who he's played against.
If he plays well and is comfortable on the ball then great.
I don't think theres a reluctance to accept him anyway, everyone seems pretty happy with him.
