Yeah I kinda meant an equal strike partnership, which I guess is pretty rare these days. It's usually one big guy doing the dirty work, linking up player, holding it up, knock ons etc... And one faster forward that does the finishing and goal poaching.

I think Best and Ba really compliment each other. It's just that teyte by prolific goalscorers (...yet). Maybe Maiga could be an improvement on one of them.

I know Maiga is very highly thought of in France. I very much like the look of Olivier Giroud, but I think Maiga is preferred due to his pace.

There were several criteria that Carr has been asked to look for in potential striker targets:

    1. Under 26
    2. Earns less than 30k pw
    3. Scores goals
    4. Pace
    5. Left footed

Maiga meets those criteria. Giroud meets all bar the pace aspect (although he is far from immobile, his game isn't about getting in behind and stretching defences), hence the club's decision to move for Maiga over Giroud who I have been led to believe is the secondary target as we have been priced out of a move for Luuk de Jong (who isn't left footed anyway so doesn't meet all the criteria either).

As for Domestic targets, we are looking at Hoilett apparently although BB are asking 18m in Jan when his contract expires in the summer....
