I wondered whether we ought to put differences aside temporarily and lend each other some moral support during this crisis?

As Prickly Mr Double Standards, Changes His Principles As Often As His Pants Plumb is allowing a pile in over on ITTV ..., let’s just set the record straight with Canterbury Addick.

Great offence was caused by him at the height of the Duchâtelet carnage, when he used ITTV to publicly defend Katrien Meire more than once - not only that, he sided with her over our own long term fans. That marked him out in many peoples opinion at the time as a Duchâtelet arselicker. I believe Canterbury subsequently took Murray’s infamous hospitality later in the Millenium lounge - another massive error of judgement for which he should be ashamed.

On my 23rd return to ITTV I did offer to bury the hatchet with him, but he subsequently poked away in the same vein so I called off a proposed beer. We would have had nothing in common.

To turn Canterbury’s now infamous phrase back onto him, if I had a daughter who had behaved like Katrien Meire, I certainly wouldn’t be publicly admiring her.

 

The 'Save The Valley' thread on the 3rd best Charlton forum has hit the floor.

It can only get lower if somebody opens the trap door.

 

Cellino thread on ITTV has seen Williamson open up with a crack at my Assistant.

The clown is useless.

but I'm not too bothered by a bit of misdirected stick from members on ITTV.

I left that forum this time for the same reason I have left it before - the administrator posts sometimes that individuals he is angry with should fear for their personal safety. That is incitement to violence in my opinion.
I cannot be part of a forum whose owner holds that view and sees nothing wrong with it.
Any ITTV member who is put out that I'm not a member there anymore should take the matter up with him.

But if folks want to have pops at me from a distance that's up to them.
I don't visit that forum anymore or read the contents.
Anybody who wants a specific response from me can come onto this forum and converse with me directly.

As long as their posts don't cross the line into real trolling however, I don't mind what they say.

A strange thing to post when she/he has never met me before. Perhaps the username is apt!

 

Everybody who considers themselves morally superior believes they have a right to pass judgment on others.
They are unaware how silly they sound.

We're all different, and by-and-large we all accept each others' querks and faults.
As long as those faults don't involve wishing other people harm.

I had a couple of DMs on Twitter last from ITTV members, saying that they are going to defect to 606. Both good posters (by ITTV standards).

 

Onwards and upwards! We're approaching critical mass faster than a Soviet nuclear reactor

 

I know of one, so that makes three on top us leaving, that makes six.
