How are Bates and Harvey's days numbered. Bates owns the club, attracts 20000 fans to Elland road even when we have no team at all. He doesn't have to go anywhere and won't. He would need a huge financial offer and that clearly won't happen. Lots have mouthed off through the years about buying Leeds but they were all full of hot air. So tough ****, Bates is with us for a long time to come, like it or not, and I dont
Fair comment all round Eire. However, two things we know for near certainty. Warnock was hired to get us back to the PL & we're likely to be his last job. Warnock will be expecting Bates to back him. If he doesn't I doubt Warnock will be backwood in coming forward to tell fans that he hasn't been backed as he resigns in a huff before the start of next season. This forthcoming transfer window is as critical to Leeds medium term future as its ever been. No one doubts that we need some incoming talent. The question is, how many? Views differ, but for what it's worth, I see 3 or maybe 4 players coming in with 3 or 4 more players at least leaving between now & Christmas. Last night didn't sound particularly good, but at least our goalkeeper would appear to be safe from the forthcoming cull.
