It's very tempting to try to guess what's going on, but there's no reason for me at least to think I know.

This season reminds me a lot of last season in the sense of the long wait with nothing happening. But last year's off-season transfers were excellent, IMO--other than taking too long. So I'll keep hoping this year's will work out well also until I can see otherwise.

If I weren't against it on principle, getting Berbatov would make me quite happy. I think he'd score, which is the main thing. Carroll I'm just not sold on, except as a sub. It would make more sense if we were to actually play Gio, who crosses really well.

you really want us to get in Podolski and Giroud? im not sure if im too botherd about not having them.

Rondon will be on about 90k plus i bet..not sure...Dont think Levy would give an unknown in the PL such a big wage considering we have stars like Kab on less...who are stars for us.

Players will have to fit into our way of thinking or we wont go in for them..in the long run we will end up with a team full of players who want to play football because they enjoy the game..not because they are mercenaries and got other agendas...that can only bode well for Spurs...this is just the begining of a new era at Spurs...we cant expect it to come to fruition fully in the first transfer window..i complain more than most...and it has taken alot of thinking for me to come to this kind of mind set but i feel as though it is the only way to be for the forseeable future as a Spurs fan....

what's wrong with Podolski or Giroud, Dona? both a proven strikers and didn't cost a fortune.

Finding players who want to play for us is brilliant, but we can't rely on that. unfortunately footballers expect good wages and we've got to compete. that doesn't necessarily make them mercenaries, it's just the way the market is.

One nil to the Tottenham! I can hear this becoming our chant next season if things carry on. Lets just hope we don't let an early goal in or our game plan is out the window! ;-)

you don't like watching women's football because they are hot?! eh?! <laugh>

who knows whether they'd fit in here or whether they will at arsenal, but you can only go on their performances to date. 21 goals for montpellier and top scorer last season has got to mean giroud has some decent talent, despite not playing in a particularly great league in Europe.

1-0 to the tottenham, with no strikers and a high defensive line? haha that'd be miracle Jack! <laugh>

Right Dona, I take back my comment where I mocked you for "not being able to watch women's football."

I now see your point!! (scuse the pun) hahaha

told you its hard work <laugh>

however..its a cracking match....some good players...Tancredi and Sinclair for Canada and Raphino of USA......good stuff!

p.s Tancredi is my kinda woman over that Morgan who looks like a bit of a cow....hmmm never analysed football in this manner before!

As for Hope Solo..she is rubbish!

I'm glad we didn't get any of those strikers, no point buying any old overpriced donkey just for the sake of it. Someone said they're proven...at what? not in the PL they're not, in fact 4 out of 5 I've never heard of before the Euro's, and the one I do know is only good in summer tournaments, in a standout German side, against players knackered after a full season.

Haven't seen tancredi close up yet! Better be good Dona, Morgan is a different class IMO. As for her skill, her footwork is superb.

I thought solo looked banging. Till I google image'd her and realized she's like a man in drag. Looks much better in a footy kit and covered in sweat.

    This Conversation is so weird.

But what a game!! Some unnamed premiership teams should be embarrassed. A team of women are playing better football than some did all last season! <laugh>

i think i like my women to look a bit more refined and strong featured than out of a disney cartoon.....Morgan scored a good winner though....

<laugh> this is definately the weirdest football analysis we have done...
