Well JWM we are easily in the best shape since Euro 96-98 and probably on a par with 1990.

They are starting to look like and play like a group rather than individuals and although the Germany game is only a friendly I can see exactly why Hoppers is excited. If we improve between now and Brazil as much as we have so far this year we will be a real threat and these games are a chance for Roy to try out different things and consolidate what's working.

Whether you agree with that or not, Town wouldn't have played anyway, international break you see <laugh>

Seriously hampy. You think we're getting on a par with 96. Although there is potential in the squad I wouldn't say we are that good. We have a handful of friendlies before the journey to brazil and I can't see us in that short time to be a threat. If we manage q/f I will be pleased.

I think we would all settle for a 1/4 final appearance this time around, especially in South America.

Watching the Under 21s over the past few weeks must give ALL England fans hope for the future, put those in with the youngsters who are in the full squad at the moment and , yes I am getting excited about our hopes & chances for the future.!

Don't think i've mentioned it before but i did not agree with the appointment of overseas managers so did not watch any games under Sven Grabben Moneysson or Fabio Crappello, And for me the National team lost alot of Gravitas when they chose this unpatriotic route.

I still support England but it does not mean anything like it used to for me, i used to travel away to watch them but would not give it a thought anymore.

    Come on Ipswich............

Surely the most exciting match to watch tonight, will be Sweden against Portugal, a play off match which should be cut throat, Ronaldo on one side, Ibrahimovic on the other, surely better than watching some meaningless friendly

I watched the Portugal game.To begin with I was rooting for Sweden until I realised a couple of budgies were in their team.

Did anyone else see the Elmander dive?

Straight from the Grant Holt book of cheating.

    Should of got a red.

I hate them too.Irony is both breaks have brought me top scores on the Norwich prediction board despite being flying guesses.I have taken a bit of interest in League1.Coventry City are spectacular, ten points knocked off, playing home games at Northampton in front of Conference size crowds. After 15 games if they win today they will be three points off the play offs.Nip over to their board and say hello to Dave,it's a one man band!

I do enjoy tournament football..... but no where near as much as i used to before the FA sold the soul of the English game.

Not really looking forward to Brazil maybe a few weeks before it begins after the proper football has ended for another season i will get a little in to it.

I gave up taking interest in the World Cup and Euro's as soon as we appointed that Swedish Play Boy Tw@t! <ok> Well to be honest after how badly the FA treated Sir Bobby I just thought Bollox to it after that!
