Whether there's any truth in this I don't know, but otherwise it seems fair enough to me. I can't say I like it, but there's no point in denying we're on the slide at the minute and selling Asa would be a horrendous poke in the eye for us fans. The mags didn't want to see Carroll go, but they got ã35M for him, which isn't bad business. I'd want silly money for a proven scorer like Asa, i.e. something in the order of ã25M minimum.
