Another bite!!!! Doesnt the idiot ever learn?

Discussion in 'Manchester United' started by weararedbonnet, Jun 24, 2014.

  1. Or using the last game of 2011-12 season; three aggressive attacks that are all later deemed individual red card offences and gets the equivalent ban for each. Total ban is twelve games. That twelve games for three attacks but Suarez got ten for one, now he has a minimum of twenty-eight games!!!

The thing is that its not about the danger to the other player. Its about "bringing the sport into disrepute". Biting attracts a lot of attention because of how odd it is, hence the "crime" is larger. He also chose do it at the biggest stage in world football, with a huge audience and where his **** up is referred directly to FIFA instead of the FA. Honestly he really would have struggled to think of something worse to do.

It probably wouldn't have hurt to be a bit more apologetic either.

Yeah, forget the therapists. The club just needs to teach him that dodgy tackles are the accepted way to take out frustration!

Ironically, this implies that it would be better for Suarez if more people started biting so that the novelty factor wore off (maybe he is in fact on a one-man mission to do this?), and also that problems that are more common or even endemic in the game should be less harshly treated than rare occurences (once every one or two years seems to be the going rate for biting these days <whistle>), which seems a bit of a skewed way of treating things.
