i'd say that gillingham have gambled all their eggs in the baskets of lee clark & micky adams and come up way short !!!

when a better option in mark robson has gone to pastures new...i'm not now looking forward to our final outcome <doh> <wah>

The announcement is likely to be timed to deflect attention from any adverse outcome of the McCammon case. Classic PR, Scally must be worried.

Any of those who ever seriously considered Lee Clark as a contender for this job must have been more affected by the delay in naming a new manager then we thought...

I fully expect a bit of a surprise to be sprung, but I would personally plump for Tilson.

It seems increasingly clear that the announcement will be linked to the McCammongate affair. Any conclusion that smacks of racial discrimination and the job goes to Hope Powell. All clear from a Gills point of view and it will be Tilson. It is a bit unfair of McCammon to have held things up like this.

On the Lee Clark point I don't think any grownups thought him a serious contender. His backup team alone is more than Gills playing budget. Clark's success has been based on Derek Fazackerley (who has never managed a club despite being asst manager of England). Now he might have been a real candidate.

Should get a job soon I would have thought as he has been at many clubs and has been behind a lot of successful managers.
