Unfortunately the law rarely works like that.

Our law depends a lot on judicial precedent and there is little of that in football legal history.

My best guess would be that we are not sacking him (which is immediate) but cancelling his contract (which incurrs a notice period, usually 1 month) would suggest that we are going down the breach of contract route, failing to attend work on time, fit for duties, inappropriate use of company property, ect

Disappointed its come to an end like this, but if Jimmy has been misbehaving, whatever he did then good riddance to him. Hopefully this draws a line under the whole thing and we can move on to a brighter future for Hull City

I doubt we would be giving him 1 months notice - if there was such a clause in his contract the club would presumably have given him notice last year.

I suspect that the wording "giving him notice" will refer to the formal notification that his contract is terminated.

If JB is going to appeal the decision he only has 5 days in which to do so. I have a feeling that he will not appeal - if he did and was successful his contract would be reinstated which is not in his best interests.

He's more likely to take the club to court for breach of contract. If he does he is under a duty to mitigate his losses - by finding a new club.

I'd like to thank Jimmy for his time at the club:

Thank you for saving us from relegation.

Thank you for helping the young pros with quality "guidance".

Thank you for grabbing the money and laughing about it with your fishing mates down south.

Thank you for being a major distraction at our club.

Thank you for not giving a stuff about a sense of duty after being given an amazing contract.

Thank you for stuffing up so badly that the club are prepared to sack you, you cretin!

Good news for lawyers me thinks....unless it is by mutual consent, which I doubt...If I was a betting man I'd say it isn't over by a long chalk...Hope I am wrong.

News travels fast, this is from Brasil........Bullard foi contratado junto ao Fulham em 2009 por £5M e é a contratação mais cara da história dos Tigers

Unless he has tested positive for drugs i cant see this going any other way but tits up for us. Anything else that happens on a club trip away is in house. There are far too many well known examples for the PFA to quote to show JB is being made a scapegoat. You only need one ex pro to quote something NP did on a club trip when he was a player and its game over.
