no issue him saying stuff at all.

Fine for keyboard warriors, people to sing childish songs in a group.

Don’t like it, dont give it out springs to mind.

The people on the terraces are paying hundreds of quid a year for the garbage that someone else is getting paid a million quid a year to serve up. They’re entitled to give him stick. It shows how well respected the club is nowadays that even the previous manager of five years is having a dig and it shows why he never achieved anything.

Funny how you're banging on about what Mick achieved yet you love Keane. You cannot make it up really.

I do agree that supporters are entitled to shout what they want. They pay their money, no issue there.

I think fans shouting about ' Mick McCarthy, your football is.......... ' during a game is a little pathetic. You've said before you should support the team for 90 minutes a game and questioned would I do that with Hurst. Of course I would. I never slagged Keane off once live during a game / Magilton / Jewell / Hurst or Mick. A few groans / you know the usual, but I NEVER slagged them off or went on about their footy etc.

Based on Mick getting pelters - and yes even I agree his football was dog turd rubbish - however his results were of overachieving. I really do not understand why after him receiving an absolute barrage from people for a prolonged period of time, people have their knickers in a twist when he's bitten back.

It took him a long time to bite back - he did - and people don't like it.

Don't like it don't bloody give it.

End of the day, Mick's comments are absolutely irrelevant. We move on. He moves on.

Westlake let's get the first thing straight, I don't love Keane. Keane, McCarthy both as bad and as good as each other. Jewell and Hurst - both abject failures.

The reason that it's not irrelevant is that I think it's pretty damning for Marcus Evans that his former manager of five years holds the club and our fans in such contempt. What we've done now is given a job to someone with a similar profile and a lack of passion and loyalty.

Oh I forgot about Keane's invisible play off campaign how did that go? Did we make Wembley? Or did we lose in the semi finals?

That he hasn't been batting away job offers since he left us speaks volumes!

I don't remember us getting to Wembley under Mick either, obviously I've forgotten some of his time with us and he did better than I thought. It did take Mick a few years to get us to a play off berth - Keane wasn't afforded that luxury, but he did get us to a major semi-final. Both competent managers, both bad apples, neither of them achieving anything like greatness in management at Town or anywhere else.

How would we know what he's been offered? He wouldn't reveal anything before, cards very close to chest.

Wonder where he / and Hurst will end up next!

Cards close to his chest? He put his hat in the ring for the Villa job whilst he was doing punditry.

I don't think Mick will get another job, because I can't see him working his way back up again at a smaller club.

Hurst will be alright, he'll get another job at League One or Championship level by the next window I reckon.

Thanks Warky, tho at times I wonder why I still follow this other life on here, but we have many knowledgeable, passionate, committed supporters who tbh actually go and see the Town play...poor souls!!

I have not been for some time now as still recovering from a tough 4 years of cancer treatment. I am alive tho, just in the slow lane!

You get a very different perspective on life, and value the smallest things, and people have been very kind and supportive. There has been much laghter and I can tell you loads of funny things that happened on the journey. Some you wouldn't believe, let alone pay front row prices for!
My documentary film is In the Can, and we hope to distribute/promote it to a wide audience this Winter.

So, I shall carry on getting behind the Town. History, personal stuff, passion, loyalty and misty eyed reminiscencies of our old glory days, plus lots of good blokes like you, will keep me lashed to the whipping post!

Ironically his stock has been rising week on week based on our poor performances...... and hasn't had to do anything <laugh>

In all seriousness, I would imagine he still holds himself in too high a regard to take on any old job (publicly touted himself at Villa) but not many (if any) of those clubs would be willing to go near him, so it will be interesting to see if/when he compromises or if there is some tipping point

Do people really think based on Mick revealing ZERO when he managed us he'd leak to the press every discussion he's had with other clubs.............
